ZAM is having a giveaway to celebrate the end of the world (or at least the end of Azeroth as we know it) and we’re giving away fifty chances to experience that post-dragonkissed world before anyone else.

How to Win
We have a thread in the General WoW forums for the contest entries. All you have to do is post a response in the thread that states what you’re the most excited about in the new World of Warcraft: Cataclysm expansion. For example:

  • Playing as a Worgen.
  • All the new changes to old Azeroth. I can’t wait to see what it looks like!
  • The new talent changes. My class is going to be OP. QQ moar newbs.

We’ll be collecting entries for the next seven days, and on Monday August 2nd, 2010, we’ll be announcing all fifty winners of the giveaway and we’ll then send you your beta key for Cataclysm! It really is that simple. Just submit the part of Cataclysm you’re most excited about, and you're golden!

 

Please Note: You must enter your contest submission at the designated forum thread. Any comments on this article will not be counted as submissions.

 

Additional Note: Both Tankspot and Wowhead will be having their own beta key giveaways in the next few weeks, so make sure you check out our entire network family for all of your chances to win!

++ If you're an AddOn author WoWInterface has almost an unlimited number of keys to give away.

Rules and Qualifications

  • In order to use the beta key, you must have a WoW account in good standing.
  • Posts in the contest thread that are not contest submissions will be deleted.
  • Users may enter more than one Cataclysm item that they’re excited about, but only one entry will be counted per user.
  • We reserve the right to remove entries if we feel like you're not properly participating in the contest.
  • The contest begins on July 26th, and all winners will be announced on August 2nd, 2010.
  • The fifty (50) key winners will be drawn from the pool of eligible posters at the end of the entry period.

What am I not excited for? I'm excited for the Worgen, especially the starting area, it looks incredible to say the least. I also love how they are bringing the talent points down to 31 points again and giving everyone a powerful spell at level 10 that really defines their spec. I'm also very excited that they're bringing it back to Old World. In my opinion, I actually liked Old World more to begin with anyways. Outlands and Northrend were actually pretty boring to me. So an even better Old World? You bet I'm excited for that. I also like how they're only doing 5 levels, not 10. So far, every single thing that they've released has been to my liking. New Guild Interface, New all-around interface, Eclipse bar for Druids, Holy Power for Paladins, an entirely underwater zone, everything. So yeah, I'm really freaking excited for Cataclysm.

The name of this new expansion is meant to excite people, Cataclysm, everything thorn apart... players will be facing new threats, new oportunities will appear,new races , for me all the excitement is brought by the method that Blizzard is going to alter the lore of Warcraft wich as all great stories, It's used to make money ,hopefully , our good friends from Blizzard are going to be mercifull with our lore.To be honest I liked all the expansions and mostly vannila , where epics were epics - meaning hard to get.I crave for the beta key , just to explore the land and all the new quests which are always forgot .

Honestly, it's not the Goblins or the Worgens or the nifty new 31-point Talent Trees I'm looking forward to. It's the environment. I think that the way Cataclysm is going to change the environments of almost every single zone in Azeroth is awesome. I can't wait until Cataclysm changes Azeroth as we know it, forever. Plus, we finally get to bury Mankrik's wife... and I can't miss that!

I can't wait for the new talent specialization things. It's not going to matter much for my 80s, but I want to level some more characters and it's going to be great to get new abilities from the spec at lvl 10.

...Another thing with leveling is it's going to be a whole new game because there's not going to be any of the same quests and you don't have to go go train so much. Ooops...Two gos...Oh well. =) (Too lazy to use the backspace key...Lovely invention though)

Im really excited about the guild advancement system, because even if the guild consists of just you and 2 or 3 other friends, you can still get benefits from it, and at the same time, youre having a unique experience with each other. I also love the new races added, the goblin and worgen, mostly the worgen, because i want to see a worgen druid go into hius human form and lol at the human in druid gear. Also the new class combinations. Those are great. Tauren paladins will probably have the potentioal to be the best tank imo. But thats just me.

I absolutely cannot wait to see the changes made to the mid-game leveling content. I hate that "59 bottles hanging on the wall" moment when leveling your 4th or 5th alt, and so far am truely impressed with how replayable these zones look so far. And from what I've seen of Silverpine and Stonetalon Mountains, among others, I am beyond ecstatic to see and experience the physical changes of the cataclysm, the new questlines and more of Lady Sylvanas kicking *** with the plague =D

I want a beta key especially because of Ironforge, I´m a Dwarf hunter in wow,and a lore fan, so i´m really excited about the news of magni being stoned, and the 3 races of dwarves trying to take the seat of the king, and of course see the newly starter of gnomes being gnomeregan out grounds. Also i really want to fly in all azeroth locations, with my noisy helicopter and my Choppa. I think the zone that most gained my attention was Uldum with all new models of monsters and structures, maybe a new old god or a corrupted titan-like hidden in the pyramids?
I will discover all of this stuff when cataclysm goes out or sooner...

Man ever since I started playing wow in 2006 I've always loved the game but I hope to get into this beta for multiple reasons one of them being... I'm a hunter my first char was him and the only reason I love to play him is because of the tons of pets you can tame , I've always been a bm hunter and will never change. I heard bm Is getting buffed and I would love to see the new stuff especially the new possible pets so I would be sooooo happy to get into beta

I would like to have an key becouse:
1.Worgen and goblin race.
2.I would like to test if you can tame an dog from Gilneas as horde character.
3.I wanna see how the new talents work and if theres some bugs in the new guild system.
4.And of course I want to see what class Im gonna play in cataclysm. If I chose paladin but then realised that warrior would have been funnier to play, it would have been some wasted days by leveling the paladin.

Im looking forward to in cat is the new world no longer will it be a major power grind to northrend and now we get to go back to azeroth to lvl and quest. Im also looking forward to the new races goblins are going to kick some ***. THEN finally people wont spec really stupidly in to all trees and they have to focus one tree now.

what im most excited for is the path of the titan end game stuff.
also the fact that hunters will have focus instead of mana. getting hunters to not roll on shaman gear anymore. worgens will be coll but the male goblin dance is crank dat soulja boy. and im horde so ima be cranking that soulja boy all day.

Personally I'm looking forward to the changes to the old world. After seeing the same zones and locations for over 5 years and leveling 8 characters through the old world it would be wonderful to see something new for a change. Included in this is the whole new leveling experience, both the new quests and the class and talent changes to make leveling more fun (along with new race/class combinations!).

First, I don't know why, but I'm REALLY interested in seeing Gnomer being retaken. Even though I haven't played Alliance for so long, I'm excited to see it. Second, I can't wait to play Goblins! Don't be hatin' on the shorties! They have such awesome racials. The male Goblin dance is cool to. I NEED a beta key, time is money friend!
