How to Win
We have a thread in the General WoW forums for the contest entries. All you have to do is post a response in the thread that states what you’re the most excited about in the new World of Warcraft: Cataclysm expansion. For example:

Playing as a Worgen.
All the new changes to old Azeroth. I can’t wait to see what it looks like!
The new talent changes. My class is going to be OP. QQ moar newbs.

We’ll be collecting entries for the next seven days, and on Monday August 2nd, 2010, we’ll be announcing all fifty winners of the giveaway and we’ll then send you your beta key for Cataclysm! It really is that simple. Just submit the part of Cataclysm you’re most excited about, and you're golden!

Please Note: You must enter your contest submission at the designated forum thread. Any comments on this article will not be counted as submissions.

Additional Note: Both Tankspot and Wowhead will be having their own beta key giveaways in the next few weeks, so make sure you check out our entire network family for all of your chances to win!

++ If you're an AddOn author WoWInterface has almost an unlimited number of keys to give away.

Rules and Qualifications

In order to use the beta key, you must have a WoW account in good standing.
Posts in the contest thread that are not contest submissions will be deleted.
Users may enter more than one Cataclysm item that they’re excited about, but only one entry will be counted per user.
We reserve the right to remove entries if we feel like you're not properly participating in the contest.
The contest begins on July 26th, and all winners will be announced on August 2nd, 2010.
The fifty (50) key winners will be drawn from the pool of eligible posters at the end of the entry period.

Look, I'm not gonna try insanely hard like most of the people on here (who have written full on essays), so i'm just gonna say one thing:

There is not one single thing that i'm NOT looking forward to in this upcoming expansion pack.

*Except maybe the worgen's dance. I hate Justin Timberlake at the best of times.

**or maybe the fact that i'm gonna be spending money that I just don't have on playing it solidly for 6 months . But meh. Good work Blizzard, keep it up :)

Im super excited after getting all the information sence blizzcon. And especally with the new talent trees, it makes you feel like somethings coming.

It will be great to see what blizz can do now. each expansion just keeps getting batter and better.

The thing im most excited about is the new world, its actually going to be fun to play with being the highest level, and the old world is going to get caught up the 6 years it missed out. Im actually wanting to level up an alt, without it being such a drag.

I want to see more lore in quests, and make sure the game is as polished as northrend by finding bugs. I really want to make a worgen druid. (Woot potential of 6 forms if you dual spec right!!!), and a dwarf shaman.

My name is Oskar, ive been playing wow since the Classic version.

I liked all of the expansions.. so far.

Well i hope that i can get to play wow cataclsym, and im really looking forward to the whole new world. When i played Wrath of the Lich King, i felt really epic when playing on my first death knight. the phasing system made it really epic to play, like the time really changed. I've heard that they are going to make alot of quest to phase, but not that many. Else we wouldnt be able to see eachother without doing the same quests >.>. Well, I made a top five, about what im looking forward to in Cataclysm, and here it is.

-1. The Reforged World, a whole new world is out there. Going to be something different, now that i know almost every single quest inside my head.

-2. The Sunken City of Vash'ir, i think its epic, so detailed and i also love the race of Nagas, so thats going to be awesome. And the last thing, I've heard about underwater mounts.

-3. Phasing System. When i played my first deathknight, or did the Battle for Undercity quest, i felt really like a Hero, like the time changed, after what i did. And im looking forward to get that feeling again in cataclsym.

-4. Worgens. I also really liked Shadowfang keep, and the worgen city right next to it. Its a great lore that it got, about Arugal, hated by everyone. And then had to create hes own creatures, just to have someone love him. Im also really looking forward to doing the quests at worgens start, ive heard something about worgens going crazy at the start village, and then you have to save the citziens there. Thats awesome.

-5. As the last thing, Water effects. The new water.. we all think so.. Is awesome! Its the most epic-awesomesauced graphic ive ever seen in world of warcraft. My computers graphics is good enough i bealive, since i can run world of warcraft now, with full graphic. Its probably not going to run the same in Cata. The Graphics is going to improve.. Bigtime.

I CANNOT wait for Heroic Deadmines and Shadowfang Keep. Those in heroic just make my mouth water and being able to do Van Cleef at level 15 - 20 and now level 85 will be GREAT! (Let's hope for a nice new Blackened Defias Set again! :D) It's also gonna be quite nice beating up your own species in SFK if you're a Worgen :P

I want to see this BIG war or battle whatever you wanna call it for the Worgen. I found it interesting to find out what happens in there Questing time. Also i want to see there mounts also cause i wanna add on to my mountain O' Mounts collection. Also i wanna know what the new Reputations are for the Cataclysm like are we going to use the Origins or New ones? One More thing im want know about is what the Warlock spells are going to look like with the new spell we get called Fel Flames. This is why i wanna bata key

I like everything in Cataclysm.
Its big change in World of Warcraft.Blizzard returned from Burnig Crusade - Outland and Wrath of The Lich King - Northrend and now we are back to the old World of Warcraft lands easter kingdoms and kalimdor.In this zone will be new locations that is great they uncovered zones.When I first played for undead and i was in Silverpine Forest I was vondering what is that big gate and now its Worgen Start zone.And goblins are now huray avalible playeble class.Some zones on the map werent visible and I was vodering what is it and why isnt it visible.Now blizzard are uncovering all mysteries in World of Warcraft.I played WoW from it release 11.February.2005 and I always preordered new expansion WoW:BC , WoW:WoTLK and now I preordered WoW:Cataclysm and I am so happy that there will be big change in old worlds.

I am looking forward to Exploring the new world of Azeroth, as well as trying out some of the new content for high level characters. Of course, I also look forward to creating a goblin and a worgen and taking a look at their starting areas.

Because the world of Azeroth will be completely changed, I would also enjoy going through the low level areas of races that already existed and taking a look at all of the changes that happened to what we have always known as our first experience in WoW.

Has hard as it is to pinpoint one thing that I'm excited about, I have to say the guild achievements is probably the highest on my list... It's nice to go to raids with all my friends, but having achievements we all can work towards as a team/family really is going to add a lot to the game I feel ....

I am most looking forward towards the orcs lore. many changes are made since thrall is leaving the title of warchief to Garrosh and he makes many different rules like exiling the trolls, undeads and blood elves from the city, attacking ashenvale and performing many new things like challlenging cairne. I wonder why Thrall has left the Horde and how he will be affect the Cataclysm. And i also heard of a rivalry between the Orcs and Night Elves. That is what im most looking forward too :)

i cant wait to see the new way's you'll play the game from raiding to PvPin and just plain leveling with a guild that makes new player's feel needed and wanted and progressing on with the new expansion everything that blizzard have done for us have been amazing i on the other hand think that this game will be a new feel to everyone and i hope everyone gets to enjoy the game like none ever before to see new places killing new bosses and seeing all the wonderful places in the world of warcraft
and i hope its going to be awesome thanks for taking you time blizzard to give us a game that helps us meet many people across the world to make this game work well

I've been waiting to roll a druid so I can play a werewolf-bear-cat-tree-owlthing that's sometimes looks human. Should be interesting. Not to mention new zones, I never did like visiting the Plaguelands.

The true way to make a game awesome I believe is the Lore, music and nature. Thats something I really desire to feel, the essence of the mighty world tree or the depths of the sunken city would chill my bones.
Also to understand the lore in first person how the Worgens of Gilneas developes towards the Alliance and try the "wicked-firepower-explotion" quests of the goblins. I heard you blow up the goblin isle! That got to be alot of fun questing.

Short answer: The new zones with their beautiful nature and music.

Heres a list fo reasons id like to play beta.

1. Played every singel beta since Vanilla WoW this was only one i didnt get invite to.

2. would like to level a Tuaren pally 1-85.

3. would like to level Worgen druid 1-85.

4.Would like to see worgen Flight form and epic flight form

5. Test new instances.

6. Get the 80-85 down so i have chance at being 1st 85 on server.

7. I would like to level 1-60 with all new quest ive leveled from 1-80 9 times and would like to see how it changed.

8. I love playing WoW

9. I would love for the opportunity to play Beta again.

10. See how greens and blue items compare to nortrend epics and at what point you have to get rid of Heroic 25 ICC gear for them.

11.Test the new Guild UI.

12. run around and scream at everyone in guild i got on beta

13. Be the envy of all my freinds who are not on beta.

14. the Main Reason i want to be on beta is i want to have FUN!!!!!

I am super excited for the upcomming expansion of Cataclysm because, Ive never been a big fan of level alts until recently, it be nice to experience the new changed zones when leveling through, so it'll be nice for me to leave a few spaces on there server to make alts during Cataclysm, once im through Outland and Northrend which is so 'old content' to check out though new high level zones which look INSANELY AWESOME! (especially Deepholm OMG GOOD JOB WITH THAT! :D ) but of course everything else is amazing!

Im a big fan of lore, so im very looking foward to what you have for us on the current content, such as Titans, Old Gods, Elementals Lord, Deathwing and what stories and plots will be included in following expansions!

Those are a few examples what im extremely excited about, but ofcourse im excited about everything else! Worgen Deathknights = Im not ******** with that! Guild advancement, archaeology, raids, battlegrounds, talents, professions, abilitys, races, races/class combination, achievements (im an achievement sort of guy! :D), flying mounts in azeroth (we can finally get around easy! :D), to some that all up = CATACLYSM! Man im excited, everyones excited, lets pray for that key! It would mean big! :) x

Things to be excited about:

Dwarf Shammy ( finally a short shammy that looks pimp for Ally )
Guild level system
10mans and 25mans same level of loot
Making my first 10man guild with friends
Seeing Azeroth get messed up
making a Holy Cow ( Cow Pally gonna be OP )
New Raids
Underwater content
Guilds Starting Fresh
Seeing all the uber geared peeps from WoTLK QQ because Cata greens are better
