I logged on after the patch and some knuckles i had in my inventory are now gone. Does anyone know if there is a chance that they might appear one day when i log on? Or should i just start shopping for another pair?
I can't change stats AT ALL!!! Stat migration broken completely. New stats not getting saved. I start to wonder if they R doing any internal testing at all. How could a bug like that get through unnoticed? & Y did they put those tickets in game I have 1 not responded for 5 days.
Dunno about you all, but I am really beginning to LOVE logging in every day to find out what is broken or changed about my character. Crates I can't take items out of, factories that won't produce any item whatsoever, stats that miraculously and mysteriously change with very little info on why, tickets that go unanswered for over a week (getting close to two now), being ejected from a house and put nearly 1-2k meters away in the middle of a hostile camp, getting knocked down in pvp and being unable to do a single thing for over a minute at times (even after death the commands still try to go through), the really FAIR scaling of pvp pets for each faction, ever changing and uninformative resource shifts...love putting down a miner and the stuff disappears 2 hours later.
I am just sick of their "patches" breaking and changing things with very little information. Plus add in the stealth changes (knockdown stat usages, which really make no difference if the people come in hopped up on food/drink/enhancements). Really interesting to see how much the combat and experience changes on a patch to patch basis with a line that says: Fixed and issue with stat migration..blah blah but doesn't indicate the racial migration "barriers"... I never knew there was a boundary. I figured you could toy with your stats until they suited your play style, now I've got a race and it may or may not have some limitation that stops me from being a good X or Y profession.
I was a fool to expect anything less from SOE/Verant. I didn't consider the game un-fun but patch after patch it gets worse and worse. When are they going to put some consideration in for people who don't have the resources or time investments to spend on buying expensive food/drink/enhancements/spices or spend hours moving miners to get the stuff you need to make the food/drink/enhancements/spices.
And don't get me started on the accelerated decay on weapons in the game, then add in possibly destroying your gun when you go to repair it. Do one or the other but not both.
The way I see the game now, you can't be a medic and not have survey if you want to make anything worthwhile to use or sell. And if you don't have scout it takes forever to find these "good spots" to harvest with miners. So you reduce your combat ability tenfold. Now since the missions pay poorly for regular missions out of cities, you can't afford to just buy the resources from other people without a lot of time invested in making money (instead of crafting). You BASICALLY need two accounts to be self-sufficient and have fun. 1 to be your combat guy and the other to buy your resource-crafter guy. The system was designed pretty intricately, but I can see how they could have easily made it so people get so many "Artisan points" and "Combat points" to spend towards the appropriate trees. Then they could at the very least find their own resources and make their items to support their combat abilities. Of course they can't make everything (could be a weaponsmith and a minor of something else, but couldn't be a armorsmith, weaponsmith, architect, etc) but the "one character per galaxy" rule .......well if twinking were a problem...I am not really certain how this would occur...since everything has limited usage and eventually breaks. And it has no value over what someone will pay for it.......not like you can sell it to a vendor and you can't exactly keep a monopoly on the economy due to size of planets.
They could have EASILY limited the "account" to 10 lots per galaxy between two characters....easy way to limit their intake of resources to make their trade limited. Adding dependence while maintaining fun factor... I can't see what their reasons are to have a system like they have right now except to make it to where people get fed up with not being able to find a instock vendor and running for hours..they buy another account and make their own weapons.
Call me crazy or a whiner, but I had more fun when I didn't have to worry about my weapon being busted in two-three days of usage. I just stopped wearing armor completely due to not being able to keep up with inflating prices and constant "wear-down" of the items...especially chest pieces. Are you telling me a armorsmith can't make it so armor would "break" slower by adding a tougher component to it to reinforce it? Or couldn't take the armor and "repair and upgrade" it? Hell I could even see letting ONLY the creator of the armor do this, so he can keep customers happy instead of constantly making new armor and having to run around and get resources.
Oh well, guess we'll see what they ***** up over the next month since I've already paid for this again.
I logged on late Sunday and the first message about the change to redeeding factories was removed from the list of patch messages. I'm not sure if this means they reversed this or not.
Now my wookiee can't get his health, strength, and constitution to max. I slide it over to 1300 and such, but it doesn't save. That sucks, cause I had them at max before the 'fix'.
its more like a nerf than anything else. it helped some people out but for Zabrak it ended up setting the minimum action pool to 1000. dunno what other races got fubard by this since i dont play anything but zabrak -- what can i saw im an biased pistoleer combat medic --
Probably the one where you get an email saying your stats are changed. Not indicating how or why or what number they needed to be. So what Im wondering is if my character is bugged now.
Fixed an issue with stat migration - on login, we detect if you have a stat migrated out of the correct species range (ie, the value is too high and we need to lower it, or the value is too low, and we need to raise it) we automatically fix the problem. Players who run into this issue will receive an in-game email informing them of it.
