According to our current poll on ZAM.com, more than 50 percent of our readers play two or more games at a time. Well, what if your character from one MMO decided to explore the world of another game? That's exactly what we're asking you to envision in our "Venture into Hyboria" Age of Conan contest, which kicks off today and runs throughout the week.

To enter, all we're asking you to do is visit this forum thread and write a short back story explaining how your MMO avatar made it to Hyboria. It can be serious, funny, or silly.  If you want to write a novel, go for it!  If you want to make it short, that's ok too! For example, maybe your Tarutaru in Final Fantasy XI conjured a portal in Windurst that led to Conan's realm, whether on purpose or by accident. Or perhaps your warrior in World of Warcraft felt the urge to go on an epic journey to find others like him who are well-versed in the art of war. You can be as creative and in-depth as you'd like with your story, as long as it tells the tale of your character's arrival in Hyboria.

Description: The "Venture into Hyboria" Contest ("Contest") begins on Monday, April 20, 2009 and ends at 11:59 PM PST on Sunday, April 27, 2009 ("Contest Period"). The Sponsor of this Contest is ZAM ("Sponsor").

How to Enter: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. You must register for a ZAM account at https://secure.zam.com/login.html?action=new and be logged into your account. To enter the sweepstakes, visit this forum thread on Monday, April 20, 2009 and fill in the required information to be entered to win. Prizes are awarded via drawing. The cutoff for entries for a particular drawing is 4:00 pm on the day of the drawing. One entry per user. You accumulate entries as follows: the entrant posts a comment in the official forum thread, as named on the contest information page. Each post that is determined to be a legitimate attempt to answer the question posed by the contest ("What is your avatar's backstory?") is considered to be an entry. The winners are chosen at random from all ZAM users who posted a comment. ZAM assumes no responsibility for lost, misdirected or late entries or entries containing incorrect or incomplete information.

Winner Selection: Sponsor shall select the daily raffle winners for the duration of the contest by random selection from among all eligible entries received prior to 4:00 PM PDT the day the drawing takes place . The only entries that will be considered eligible entries are entries received during the Contest Period described above that contain the required information. The random drawing will be conducted under the supervision of Sponsor whose decisions are final and binding. Odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries received. Winner Notification:   Winners will be sent a private message as notification. In addition, notification will be posted in the forum thread, using the winner's site user name. Winners will have until 5:00 PM PDT three (3) days from the date their name is drawn to respond with a name and address where the prize can be sent. The name and address must be a valid location within the United States of America to receive the prize. If the winner fails to respond in the time allotted, they will forfeit the prize and the prize may be awarded to another randomly drawn winner from the pool of entries. All prizes will be shipped to the winners within 6-8 weeks of the receipt of contact information.

Eligibility: The sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the 48 contiguous United States and the District of Columbia, who are eighteen (18) years or older at the time of entry. Entries qualified by the sponsor as legitimate posts will result in an entry(s) for the account holder.  Employees of Sponsor and its affiliates, and immediate family members and those living in the same household of such employees, are not eligible to enter. Estimated retail value of the grand prize is $3,062. Twelve (12) Winners will be selected to receive One (1) copy of Age of Conan. Estimated retail value of each copy of Age of Conan is $19.99. Nine (9) Winners will be selected to receive Two (2) Month Game Cards. Estimated retail value of Two (2) Month Game Cards is $29.99. Twelve (12) Winners will be selected to receive Thirty (30) Day Game Cards.  Estimated retail value of a Thirty (30) Day Game Card is $14.99.  One (1) Winner will be selected to receive a One (1) Year Game Card. Estimated retail value of a One (1) Year Game Card is $160.00. Winners will be responsible for any and all federal, state and/or local taxes resulting from acceptance of the prize. The prize will be shipped through a major online retailer to be delivered to the name and address provided by the winner.
