The Star Wars Galaxies team has posted another edition of the Ask Loche series, which is where fans ask questions and Lead Designer Jesse "Loche" Benjamin takes time to answer them. This edition focuses on profession updates, no-trade items and gardening.

One player asked if medics would be getting any attention in future updates. Loche said professions will always be addressed, but they will no longer be doing updates for only one profession. In response to another player's claim that no-trade items are unpopular, Loche said the mechanic isn't going away. "We have a system going in to allow you to consume your once per account item and re-claim it on another character," he said.

Loche also said gardener expertise is not being considered, but they're not against adding plants and flower schematics. You can read Loche's full answers below.

Will Medics get any type of pass in future updates? If so, how much are the devs willing to do per update, or are you guys even going to go so far as to reserve a full Medic update? If so, how much will be included? Medics mostly agree that a lot of small, touch-ups would be the equivalent of a full update for us. -BromiDista

Going forward it is our plan to no longer do an update devoted to only one profession. We will not stop addressing issues for professions; we will just attempt to make changes in each update for whatever professions we can.

What are you going to do about No Trade? Players don't like it . –Sassums

No-Trade isn't going away. It is also not a true statement to say that all players dislike like it. "No-Trade" is a standard game mechanic, and has always been in the game.  The very first no-trade item, the Special Edition Goggles, was there at launch. We have reduced the number of no-trade items going into the game. In the past nearly all of the rewards for GMF, Lifeday, and EFoL would have been no-trade. Additionally, we have removed the no-trade flags from some of the existing "no-trade" items in the game (Xeno furniture, etc). We have a system going in to allow you to consume your once per account item and re-claim it on another character.

Gardener Expertise is not currently being considered. That said, we are not against adding more plants and flower schematics to the game for our players who like to decorate with them.
