I don't want to get involved in the people bashing you all so lovingly have going here so I'll make my statement then leave.

SE and FFXI are NOT the only games to have issues. I have played EQ, EQ2, WOW and Guild Wars and ALL of them have had issues similar to this.

My basic point is this. People, I don't care where they are from, will whine and complain when something they want is unavailable. My advice, if you can't take a few days of disappointment, stop playing video games! Try cards or some board top game where you can have your instant gratification and leave the video games and MMORPGs to those of us who, while we might be upset about not having access for a few hours, know that it will eventually be fixed and we can resume where we left off.

Really, your energies are better left to other persuits!

All of you need to grow up. Yes I complain, but for a good reason, 10 hour update first (No big deal there, I expect it from SE) but once you get into the game and get settled into a nice party for 45 minutes then get a system message saying. We have to shut down for 3 hours to do emergency mantience. Something is just wrong.

Now, that everyone can see a clear story about why "Americans are whining" <shakes head> I think you can finally realize how fracking stupid it is to be arguing over this fact. I love Europe with all my heart and I am American, I look at it this way (I know I am going to get flamed for what I am about to say by the Americans) without the Europeans we would not be as America is today.

Rate me up rate me down I do not care, cause I have spoken my piece and peace. If you do not like the fact I see this whole Whiny American topic as stupid and infantile, TS. Oh and if any SE people are reading this, please consider doing weekly mantience it would be much easier on all involved. W.o.W does it and they have one of the smoothest running games I have seen in a long time.

I THINK why people are upset about the update is because there have been several large ones in a very short time. A monthly/weekly maintenance is expected but when 10 hour downtime items keep popping up this often it is rather annoying

what about the people growing plants?? How bad are they getting shafted

anyway the American bashing is pointless and unwarranted in these forums

??? I just needed something to talk about while this update was going on. And from the sounds of it, Europe got hit pretty bad. Yep, it's gonna take an extra 2 days for the update to reach them.

You american are always a lot agressive on SE with the maintenance. I am european, and I would like to see the maintenance during the Day like it is for you 9am to 18 pm.

Here it is 15pm to 3 am usually so we can't play during prime time.

when it is a 3 hours maintenance it is always like 18 or 19 pm to 22 pm so we can't play again during prime times. Are the european complaining so much about it? no so be happy when you consider your maintenance during day hour when you should be at work or at school or anywhere else but not in front of you computers.

And remember that most players are japanese, that's where they earn the money. And if you are not happy you can try WOW and you will that maintenance exists in every MMORPG.

Wow..... "You American" ? I don't understand where this is coming from. I think if people are complaining it is because of a few simple facts. I know I expect good customer service (if that is a bad thing I'm not sure why?), we all pay for this game. And although I understand there are maintenances and upgrades that are going to happen SE really should be a little bit more accurate with the scheduled times. I work in a service oriented industry; if I told someone something required repair and that it would be fixed by noon and changed that time to two o'clock then changed that time to eight o'clock I would be understanding that my customer would be livid with my company and me.

SE needs to put accurate time tables and although I understand things happen where times get pushed back there has not been one maintenance where didn't require an emergency maintenance to fix things the next day or in the case of last nights debacle after only a few hours (if that) of allowing persons online? It is just crazy.....

SE must be gilsellers themselves. They probably needed the time to get all the gil to the DB of the peeps they keep ******** over daily. I know peeps that play other games and they never throw out the complaints about their games. SE should have never gotten ahold of this game and should of stepped out of the way for programers that could actually maintain the game. From playing all the FF games this game is a dissapointment. I don't know how much dope you have to smoke to Ruin a game but congratulations Square Enix. You guys suck! And to all those peeps that defend them, for whatever reason, your gay as hell. I"m sure that 70 percent of the people on any given server have made endless complaints. The only complaints you get replies to aren't the endless emails you send, it the GM calls and those losers are jokes....they can get you unstuck from a tree and they can investigate MPK's. The send you replies they read from a book and they give nothing but give you politicaly correct fluff replies. They don't care about bots. i'm sure every gm has like 10 bots. i'm just wondering if they sell gil on thier websites cheaper than others. Cuz armor and weapon prices are getting out of hand

No offense but there is a difference between complaining (what americans like to do because they expect everything to be handed to them) and stating opinions... im not sayin that all americans are like that but the majority is... im have dual citizenship and have lived in europe and amierica for equal parts of my life... belive me i dont hate america but america does whine alot... while the rest of the world deals with it... dont mean to offend anyone and if i did im sorry... i can say with confidence i know what im talkin about... ive seen the best and worst of both worlds...

europe may get there "prime time" taken during maintainence but stop and look at americans down time.
it is an ALL DAY maintainence for us!
from 11am to 24:00 est not just prime time and you go to bed, but ALL DAY for us!
thats morning to midnight so yes we are the ones being screwed even more than the people from europe.
so b4 you complain about 5 hours max then it's into your bed time, think how we feel.
it goes on all day and untill bed time for most of us. thats a compleat day gone that we payed for to play.
Also ask your self, why doesn't SE rotate the maintaince times so every time zone loses an equel amount of "Prime time" play?
Ask your self why maintainence only starts at JAPANS midnight (there bed time) and not sooner? (like during there "Prime Time")

WE americans don't "whine" about it.
WE just don't roll over and take it up the *** and say "OK" when we don't get what we PAY for!
WE FIGHT for our rights and we get what we pay for or we take down the people that are trying to ***** us!
That is why WE are the strongest nation in the world and are the most envied in the world as well.
We are fighters and we fight to the end for what is right! wether it is a morral or legal issue we don't take ******** from any one and we don't give any ******** in return.
All we DEMAND is what is the right thing to do be done!
any one that settles for less deserves what they don't get in life.
this nation carries guns for a reason and it to defend our rights and our land to the very end!

if it wasnt for france helping out in the revolutionary war, there would be no america... fact... and when there is a point of saying something then it should be said, and i did say it was unfair about all the maintinences being on NA prime time... that is true... but thats life if you havent noticed... deal with it... all that complaining wont do jack **** unless its to the right people.... if you need to vent ... then vent... more power to you... but dont expect everything to be the way it should cuz that is just stupid... cuz life dosent work that way...

That's fine and crap, but it's stupid to judge people by their country. People are diverse and can't blame their country on the way they act. If a person decided to whine, it has nothing to do with them being American or Mexican or Canadian or Jewish (I just had to).

When you see what people do when they try to actually do something about something that others whine about (Fights, theft, war, playing god) It's best if people whine.

I just want to point the fact that you are complaining the most, but you are not the ones who have the real problems with maintenance, europeans are but ok.

second thing I am not talking about all aemricans in everything in life always complaining, I am only talking about american in FF11 game, that's all. Don't mix everyhting I am making politics, just imagine that maintenance can be worst for other countries

maybe you are stupid, i am not saying it is longer, i am saying it is always during our prime time, I don't care if they do a 10 hour maintenance from 00:00 to 10 am or 8 am to 18pm.

But when you have always maintenance in the evenings it is quiet different. Now kuirin if you are not smart enough to understand that I can't help you with it.

godernitall, fix the problems cmon baby, im gonna have to sleep in the next 3 hours, 7800tnl for 73 pld, adaman set, im waiting. hehe I wonder if there will ever be a decent solution, cause i hope to god this doesnt continue.
