Master, have you ever heard of the Doll Festival, kupo? The Doll Festival is a Far Eastern celebration where people pray for the health and happiness of girls. During this time, girls are given rice treats to eat, and have a special place to decorate with dolls, kupo. A festival that provides such a fun opportunity for laughing and playing sounds like a great idea, don't you think, kupo? You know, since a lot of the lady adventurers out there grew up in the aftermath of the Crystal War, I bet they didn't get a chance to enjoy this festival, kupo... And that's why the Mog House Management Union has come up with a plan! We're going to return those lady adventurers to their childhoods, and give them the experience they never had, kupo! Hm? You don't think you're up for it? And what about the guy adventurers? Don't you worry, kupo. Try talking to the moogles in charge of the festival and see what happens! This time you're in for some real moogle magic, kupo! [Participating in the Event] -Form a party of 10 and talk to the moogles around town. You will receive a present in celebration of the Doll Festival! -The moogles will only consider players in the same area when counting the number of party members. -Items can only be received from the moogles once every Vana'diel day. -Characters that have just been created can only receive items from the moogles after one Vana'diel day has passed. [Event Areas] Southern San d'Oria Northern San d'Oria Bastok Mines Bastok Markets Windurst Waters Windurst Woods *This event is scheduled to take place between February 28 at 19:00 and March 13 at 19:00.

The layout with the Emperor, Empress, Musicians, and Ladies of the Court are the arrangement of the dolls for the Japanese festival, Hina Matsuri, which is Doll's Festival or Girl's Festival.

Rice cakes are served, lozenge shaped, colored green, pink, and white from bottom to top, symbolizing the snow, the flowers, and the grass of spring. Grand setups of dolls are displayed, and the bigger the better. It was originall done with paper dolls that were set afloat, but later done with pretty dolls that were collected and handed down. The name was first Doll Festival, but later changed to Girl's Festival to balance with the Boy's Festival.

This event is awful. first off you need a party. And you only wander around town, i can see this wont get much particerpation. I enjoyed Summerfest '04 and Xmas event '04. This goes into the dislike pile with Halloween '04. I look at it this way. Vanadiel year 1000 is coming nearer. Maybe there'll be a festival.

The cake you will get depends on who the party leaders are at the moment u talk to the moogle from what I have seen. If you have Mithra and Tarutaru leader u get Mithra and Tarutaru cake. If leader is galka and any other race, you only get one item.

When I first did the quest, I heard from the moogles that the party of 10 is supposed to symbolize something, so perhaps a certain lineup will get different items. Here's what I gathered from the bastok mines moogle:

10 total people, breaks down like this:

1- "Emperor" (so 1 guy)
1- "Empress" (so 1 girl)
5- "Musicians" (5 guys here)
3- "Ladies of the Court" (3 gals here).

The pt I first did didn't have this lineup, and I'd be curious to see if that actually changes the items that you get if you do actually have the 6 guy:4 girl breakdown.

I do know you get items for any pt lineup tho, so try out different things!

Form a party of 10 or more around the moogle and they give you a magical rice cake.

If you eat the ricecake, you turn into a little girl.

I believe after forming your alliance of ten, the moogle gives you a "doll" item. The item then allows you to change in to a little girl. I haven't yet done the quests though, so I don't know if it changes male characters in to boys or girls.

Although it should go without saying...the enhancement on your character is only temporary Like I said earlier, I haven't done the quest, so I don't know exactly how it works, but it's probably similar to the quest where you could change to a worm/rabbit/mandy. In that quest, you lost form by clicking on the status enhancement, or by zoning.

No, it doesn't have to be 5 guys and 5 girls. I was in two different parties and neither had the same amount of girls and neither had 5. Although, I do believe which girls we had affected the items we received. In one party I got a hume rice cake and a taru rice cake. In the other I got a elvaan, hume, and mithran cake. These cakes by the way turn you into little girl forms of the race that the cake is named after. Don't worry though, the effect of course is not permanent.

So its almost that time I have been here for a year. Never seen this, whats it about? what happens? if your form a party of ten does that mean you must form a party of 5 guys 5 girls or it doesn't matter or you need two teams of 5 with an alliance? more info.
