It's here! It's here! The day we've all been waiting for is finally here, kupo! What day is that, you ask? Why, Valentione's Day, of course! With either cries of gratitude or whispers of hidden love, now's the time for you to step up and open your heart! And what a better way to say "I love you" than with a one-of-a-kind present crafted with your own two hands, kupo? Huh? You're not sure what would make the perfect gift? Well, don't fret, because the Moogles of the Mog House Management Union (MHMU) recently gathered and decided we'd do our best to help our masters out, kupo! Soon, we'll be sending a special crystal to the delivery box of every adventurer in Vana'diel. By using this crystal during synthesis, you'll be able to carve your name right into the finished product, kupo! Once you've done that, all that's left is for you to take your gift to that "special someone," and let your heart do the rest, kupo! About items sent from the Mog House Management Union (MHMU) - The moogles are sending a special crystal to each adventurer. It may take time for the special crystals to arrive, so please be patient. - The Mog House Management Union (MHMU) will send special crystals only to characters created before Feb 4 2005.

I'm at 38 cooking and got a glacier crystal. Only thing I can make that I can think of at the top of my head with ice is a stack of 12 Meat Jerky. I really don't see the point of signed food lol.


/em needs to start turning stuff into guild for the raw fish handling key item so he can make sushi. >_<

It's been stated, and it's been asked.

These work like regular crystals for synthesis, but they sign your name onto the item that you synth with that crystal.

Exe. You get an inferno crystal and make a Bronze Ingot using Copper Ore(3) + Zinc Ore(1) and in the bottom left hand corner of the item's display window, it will say your name.

They are avaiable to Novice crafters and above for 200 guild points each.

It's just something to promote synthing really. I got a stupid glacier crystal and the ONLY thing I could make was some tsurara with my good ol alchemy that I'm skilling up now. No HQ...no name on it (stackable item duh) just something to promote synthing...should've just sent it to an npc for sale.

Also, seems s-e is going in alphabetical order because my name obviously starts with an A and so do some of the people I play with...they all got a crystal in the delivery box. Other people that had names with R hadn't received it yet.

Make a shell or bone earring if you get a cyclone crystal though. Requires virtually no bonecraft skill and not that expensive if you go to windurst and buy the supplies.

Quite the interesting event! All my synthing skill levels are quite low, (Clothcraft is my highest... at either 4 or 6... and I think my goldsmithing is like, 1 x.x), and I'm hoping I recieve a crystal that I can use to make something low-level and signable...

OR.. it'd be nice if I get something that I can use in a short amount of time... which means I'm gonna blow some cash on some synth skilling up... :P

This sounds like a great event! Great way to boost the crafting economy this month. ^^

I got a lousy twilight crystal (dark crystal). I never synthsized anything with dark crystal a day in my life. It's an EX item, so I'm stuck with it. After giving my moogle all those expensive items for the mog upgrade quest, and this is how he repays me...

Yes you can sign food. Some examples are orange kuchen, icecap rollanberry, windurstian salad. You can not sign anything that stacks. Such as bubble chocolate, boiled eggs, melon pie, ect. Im nto 100% sure on this but I dont think you can sign heart chocolate. Plus the price on kukuru beans have likely gone through the roof.

P.S. You cant sign anything that stacks, no matter the craft. Trying to sign sheep leather will result in disappointment.

anywho i got a twilight crystal...only thing ive ever used dark crystals for is gardening and im usre i cant use this crystal for that...*grumble* guess ill have to sign a piece of sheep leather

yep, they CAN break, it's written in the PoL event description

and yes, they are the exact same crystals you can buy for 200 GP at the guilds

my highest craft is Goldsmithing 38, and i got an EX wind crystal (Cyclone), so since most finished products in goldsmithing use wind crystals im guessing they probably try to send you a crystal that correspond to your highest craft...but i might be wrong

i still have to check my mule, which has 0 in all crafts, to see what crystal she got... its gonna be funny to try and craft a signed item at craft level 0 lol

They can break, I think. Somebody posted a screenshot of one in the main forums... Looked just like the standard Guild Point EX crystals

Hopefully it'll recognize what craft you generally use; otherwise you might get a crystal completely unrelated to your craft! Xp
