I loved wh40k from the first DoW on. then i started reading the books and also played a pen and papergame!

Im really excited for the orks in EC! and since we have the chance to shape them together with the devs, i can make sure that orks will be awesome!
they will have high customization, cause orks do not follow rules!
they will have lots of orky mechanics, for example: when an ork trukk is blown up all pasangers will get burst out of the trukk half alive and after standing up they will charge on the enemy

we, the fans, will make EC amazing! and the devs will help a bit too ;D

Well, the subject should explain all ;)

I've been a fan of WH40k universe since the 4th TT edition. I've been playing Chaos Marines (mainly Noise Marines and Iron Warriors). I have always dreamt of a computer game that would be able to fully reflect the beautiful yet complicated Wh40k lore AND FINALLY THE WAITING IS OVER -EC IS JUST ROUND THE CORNER!

I've been an active user of EC forums since December 2013 and I deeply believe EC is going to deliver what all Wh40k fans around the world have been waiting for so long, which is - 'In the grim darkness of the far future there is only waaaar!!!'.

I really hope EC will be an epic game that will revolutionise MMO games scene and I'm planning to be part of this experience along with my warped Slaaneshi brothers (and sisters?) for a looong, looong time.

I really enjoyed all of the THQ games, and i feel that this one is the good one.
The greatest wh40k video game ever done.
I play wh40k since 8 years with my brother (fulgrim there i think ;) ) so i would really enjoy
this experience with him so that we can play together and have another look on the VG.
I Will give feedback Like i did for the thq's space marine game and i really want to share my experience of the universe with the dev team to make sure everyone Will be proud of this game !
See you guys in game !!

It's very simple for me. I've been a 40k fanboy for over a decade and played every game (tabletop or electronic) released in that time. The transparency BeHavior has provided makes me much more likely to support it than any other "kickstarter/founder" campaign out there.

I've enjoyed many versions of 40K over the years and while I've never played the table top version I'm intrigued by it.

I'm looking forward to exploring the Eldar and some of the other races to see what this incarnation brings to life.

I do hope this game does well.
Cant wait.

Been a fan for almost 10 years of PC related Warhammer games, both 40k and Fantasy. Tabletop I have never player personally only observed my friends and got hooked into whole lore.
Got a half a dozen of friends all hyped for Warhammer 40k: EC that are all as eager as i am for this game to come out, we'r probably going to make small guild and then recruit more people that are gonna boost our ranks and help us, as we explore Arkona. Looking forward to Eldar, Dark Eldar and Tau as well.

Eternal Crusade is something I'm looking forward to because it seems like a fun mechanical game as well as an interesting conceptual one at the same time and I'm hoping it can deliver on both premises.

A game like, Battlefield Borderlands or Planetside offers a fun experience of running and gunning in large conflicts, with all the explosions vehicles and spectacle that represents. Equally however they are shallow conceptually offering a kind of mindless fun and entertainment.

Games like EVE online, or many community driven open world online experiences offer a very interesting and unique community driven experience, where the ability to freely interact with the rest of the playerbase in more interesting and unique ways than just shooting at them, with actual goals and meaning to the conflict between players other than imaginary internet points of XP and K/D that are shallow and meaningless. Equally however they are shallow mechanically, offering not so much of a fun experience in the nuts and bolts of what you do and only adding meaning to dull gameplay elements with the overarching consequences of them.

Eternal Crusade is a rare type of game that is in the fortunate position of potentially being able to realise great gameplay in both these styles at once, it's a tough job but if they manage to pull it off with finesse then they will be left in the enviable position of being the game that offers something for everybody, not in the jack of all trades master of none experience, but actually by being totally compelling and awesome to two different groups of people at the same time, the fusion of these two types of playerbase if both are satisfied equally will add much to the experience for those who play with and against these people.

I bought my first space marine when I was 11 in 1991. It was a Techmarine blister pack that came with two Techmarines. I bought a couple of paints and immediately went home to paint. The next day I brought them in and the staff at my local GW thought I had done a great job and proceeded to show me how to play the game. As my enthusiasm grew for painting and gaming I was encouraged by the staff to help newer gamers and painters get into the hobby, by the end of my first year I was giving intro painting lessons and showing other people my age how to play.
After 3 years of painting and gaming at my local GW store the staff really thought of me as a member of their squad and they were sad to hear that I was moving away. I travelled to the US where I kept the hobby alive with my new school friends and even managed a first place in the school art exhibition with an Woodelf diorama including Wardancers and River Troll. Once I graduated in 98 I returned to my home town to look for a collage to attend, I was aiming for art collage and applied for quite a few. Sadly most of my artwork was destroyed in transit and I was informed that I would have to resit my entrance exams. Well, this didn't sit too well with me so I applied to my local GW store where I was accepted as a part timer.
"Dream come true" was my thought and two very happy years later rolling around in the fluff that was my childhood playground ensued! Sadly as I grew older I had to move jobs, but I always kept my hobby alive with weekly gaming sessions and painting as much as I could get a hold off. This again began to change when I met my future wife, I don't have as many friends who play the tabletop any more but we all play the PC games... we have racked up hours upon hours of DOW, DOW2 Space Marine, Space Hulk and any mods I can get my hands on. I am part of a online gaming family that have played PC games from EQ to EVE online to Wildstar since the 00's.
I am planning on leading the charge into the Eternal Crusade and bring my Battle Brothers with me. Together online we can re-create our childhood dreams of storming an Ork fortress, or chasing down Chaos filth. I will be there either at the beginning by being a founding member of Eternal Crusade or I will join the ranks later. All I know is that myself and my online family will be ready and able to wage a Heroic war in the grim darkness of the far future.

The Eternal Crusade
# Jun 24 2014 at 11:58 AM Rating: Decent
I'm excited for Warhammer 40k: Eternal Crusade because I've wanted a truly epic multiplayer 40k game since I got into it around 2007. WH40k has always had such an amazing fan-base that creates everything from the stories, armies, drawings and even cosplay. An MMO 40k game that gives players the ability to create and feel a part of the living 40k universe is something I've imagined would be too difficult to accomplish but it's being done! I also want to see the kinds of Tyranid organisms that we'll encounter as a Tyranid collector. Bosses and swarms of Nid's ripping and eating their way through platoons of hardened soldiers is something I've always wanted to see in animation but in game with real players fighting for experience and treasures is just fantastic. I can't say just how excited I am for this game!

I've been following the project since it was first announced in some backwater portion of the internet with no hype surrounding it, only a splash page with four quotes proclaiming how great Warhammer 40k is.

Its been a roller-coaster of emotions up to this point as I've tried to explain to my friends and others who doubted the company (beHaviour) who didn't understand the team behind Eternal Crusade, but what I've seen so far is that the team is extremely excited to work on this project.

Never before have I seen such community involvement from the developers of a non-indie game, Brent Ellison, Steve Lumpkin, Patrick Balthazar, and excitable Miguel: These are all names that I won't soon forget.

So why am I excited for this game? Because it is EXACTLY the game Warhammer 40k fans have wanted for years. All out war with the opportunity to take part of it. So far the devs have shown enough passion to make the idea work, enough humility to accept when they have some less great ideas, and enough wisdom to ignore the loudest of us whom have terrible ideas.

So I have faith in this game, but I can only say one thing.

Don't ***** this one up, I don't think my heart could take a disappointment of this magnitude.

I've been playing warhammer 40,000 tabletop since I was 7 (21 at the moment) and have played every video game released about 40k and read the majority of novels released about the universe. I am a massive fan of warhammer 40k and my primary army in table top is the Space Marines (Novamarines).

For me, getting beta access and/or the full game would both save me money (in a bit of a tight spot at the moment, so I won't be able to actually buy the game for another two weeks after the official release on the 25th) and would allow me to get into the beta and provide feedback to the devs on my thoughts on the gameplay, the balance and bug report any issues I find. It'd also allow me to play the beta with my friends rather than possibly miss out on it entirely.

It's also a third person 40k game, how can anyone ask the reason for wanting this game? this is going to be something for the history books if done right.

For The Warmaster !
# Jun 24 2014 at 11:40 AM Rating: Decent
Warhammer 40k : Eternal Crusade : amazing ! I have been playing Games Workshop's Warhammer 40k for 9 years, and I'm very excited by the release of a MMO based on my favourite universe.

I read a lot of books written by Graham McNeil, the author who wrote the story "Space marine descent on Arkhona". I really loved his books, like Uriel Ventris's stories and so on.

About 40k : I know the entire story of the 41th millenium, and I play Astra Militarum, Space marines, Chaos Space marines, chaos daemons, Grey Knights, Eldar,... Smiley: nod

My armies : https://picasaweb.google.com/114501282870392204054/EmperorSChildren?authuser=0&authkey=Gv1sRgCOn77NHFhrKInwE&feat=directlink

About the MMO aspect : I play 40k in a club, where a lot of friends want to play to Eternal Crusade.
The website of the club : http://www.khultstgilles.com/index.php
And I played a lot of video games related with 40k (Dawn Of War, Space Marine...).
I really want to help the dev team to improve the game, by testing it and with my knowledge of the universe.

Apologies for my English, I'm a French gamer, in love with 40k.Smiley: tongue

For The Warmaster ! Let this world burn ! Smiley: grin

Warhammer 40k!
# Jun 24 2014 at 11:38 AM Rating: Decent
I have been following the progress of Eternal Crusade ever since last summer, and the effort that the Behavior Interactive team has made since then is astounding and is already got me excited to play this game. Ever since Dark millennium got shut down due to THQ's bankruptcy I became sadden that there would never be another 40k online game, but Behavior change all that. Fighting against hordes of ai controlled tyranids? Choosing between 4 different factions with their own unique classes, play styles, and sub factions? Different open world continents to play on? Everyone playing all on one single server? I'm not a table top player, but I have some experience playing dawn of war and dawn of war 2. So it's safe to say that Eternal Crusade is destined to become the most Hyped, most highly anticipated online game of all time in my eyes! EC's excitement at this point is like WoW when it was highly hyped up all the way back with it's release 10 years ago in 2004. Good luck to Behavior and the team, as long as they listen to the player base they are gaining and be creative with their development, I know they'll make their fans proud!

In 2015 be prepared gaming world, because you'll have a chaos warrior to add to the Slaughter and mayhem! FOR THE DARK GODS! MUHAHAHAHA! Smiley: wink

I'm really excited about warhammer 40k cause I've loved all the video games that have come out for warhammer. I've been waiting for the mmo for years now. I never played the tabletop cause it was too expensive but I've played all the dawn of Wars since the first one came out. I've got a few friends really excited about this although I'm sure we will be enemies in the game. Lore wise I've only ever read the horus heresy books but if there is some dawn of War references that be cool. I'm really looking forward to the combat system! GO SPACE MARINES!

I cannot describe how much am I excited about having a chance in playing an MMO placed in Warhammer 40.000 setting. The sheer awesomeness of the monster called Warhammer cannot be described with mere words, you have to feel it for yourself!

First time I came in contact with it was around 10 years ago, but at that time I didn't think it was anything special. However, kids tend to be wrong with most of things :D so as I grew up, I learned more and more about the lore and quickly fell in love with it. Despite all of that, I have never played a single Tabletop game in my life, nor do I have an army! However, that didn't stop me from playing every PC game that came out and I hope I'll be given the chance to once again invest all my precious spare time into a game like Eternal Crusade, like I did numerous of times before.

What would a Traitor Marine be without his compatriots? A main conglomerate of Night Lords who are coming to spread terror across the battlefields of Arkhona could be found here, and I'd be happy if there is anyone else who would like to join us and spread the wings!
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/LordsofArkhona

I most look forward is having fun! Anything else is secondary! And I cannot imagine anything greater than joining the Eternal Crusade and singing a slow dirge of death to all who oppose Dark Gods!

It's the first 40K MMO, I was introduced to the universe by a friend a couple of years back and I've been hooked to it since, I can't wait to immerse myself in the world with players at my back and against me, I accidentally stumbled across the website 3 hours after it launched and can't wait to make my journey to Arkhona.
