Rusty Hearts Update Adds New Dungeon and More

Patch day for Rusty Hearts players! The upcoming content update adds "Expeditions," which are essentially eight-man raids, as well as a brand new dungeon, the Dead Man's Valley. Dead Man's Valley promises unseen challenges in the labyrinthine maze, as well as the hardest boss ever seen in Rusty Hearts, the Bone Dragon. I would have preferred to call him a dracolich, but we all have our flavors.

The new character, Edgar Grosvenor, plays identical to the game's poster girl Angela, using either a scythe or a magic sword. But Edgar is faster. As he is her avatar (the Rusty Hearts term for opposite-gender character), this was likely an intentional move.

Rusty Heart's patch lands March 22nd.

Rusty Hearts' New Valentine's Day Update: Requiem

A new character approaches! Roselle Vergerius, the female version of Frantz, is making her way to a cash shop near you, and that means all you Rusty Hearts fans can finally play... a female version of Frantz. Basically.

Rusty Hearts' newest update, called "Requiem," is slated to launch on February 14th, otherwise known as Valentine's Day. Included within this update comes Roselle Vergerius (as noted), a new level cap, new items, a new hub world (Training Camp), a new raid dungeon for you and seven of your friends, new skills, new weapons, and four new dungeons: Opera House, Catwalks, Gallery, and Ramparts. Looks like you'll be staying in this Valentine's Day!

Meilin Chen announced for Rusty Hearts

Apparently the developers at Rusty Hearts felt that their game lacked a tiny Asian martial arts presence (and little girl representation), so along comes the young Meilin Chen! While not many details have been revealed for Meilin Chen, the team is saying that she is "skilled in gauntlet and claw abilities" and that she "builds upon some of the most popular Rusty Hearts styles." Ridiculously vague, but there it is.

Head on over to the Rusty Hearts site to see the full announcement (although it's not much) on Meilin Chen.

Rusty Hearts Expansion Devoured by Darkness live

Dearest Rusty Hearts... We're drowning in content! There are too many updates, too fast! Ahhh!

Rusty Hearts new content update, Devoured by Darkness, comes hot on the heels of their previous November 9th update, and with it comes a new level cap of 39 (who thinks of these numbers), over 40 new quests, and two new dungeons to round out the Cathedral world: "The Hole" and "Top Secret Facility." Don't ask me who named these things. Over 130 new and upgraded skills are also making their way into the game, and a pile of new weapons will be available for players to get their mitts on.

Rusty Hearts announces "Devoured by Darkness"

Hot on the heels of their Cells of Darkness update, Rusty Hearts has announced that Part II, dubbed "Devoured by Darkness" will be making its way to players on November 30th. While not much information is given in terms of what players can expect with this content update, the team is promising to "bring an end to Gerald's epic path to darkness." Apparently you won't want to miss this "monumental conclusion to this sick and demented story."

Seems like some players are complaining in the comments about some bugs that are plaguing Rusty Hearts, but content updates are fine replacements for all of that.

It's a Rusty Hearts Infograph!

I love infographs. Maybe it has something to do with the cool graphics and images all around, but seeing bars and charts with numbers is always kind of neat. It's kind of odd, considering how scared I am of doing math, but maybe it's just satisfying knowing that someone else is doing the math for me. According to the infograph, Angela is wrecking her competition in usage, sitting at a pretty 35% portion of the game's population, with Frantz at 29%, Tude at 28%, and the newly released Natasha at a sad little 8%.

You can check out the full infograph on the Rusty Hearts Website.

Cells of Darkness Update arrives in Rusty Hearts

Lots of new things coming in this Rusty Hearts content update: Cells of Darkness, including a new level cap of 36 (who thinks of these numbers, and why?), as well as new dungeons, the Conservatory, the Arboretum, the Quarantined Labs, and the Debtor's Prison. Also with this update comes a pile of new weapons and abilities for Rusty Hearts' cast of four, in addition to "intense side quests" (their words, not mine), new story quests, a creepy new pet system and other big, expansive content.

To celebrate the launch of their new update, the Rusty Hearts team is launching a bunch of new challenges for players to take on. The top 50 completion times on Debtor's Prison (Very Hard) will receive 2 Dark Thread Balls and 2 Fabric Imbued with Magic. The top three competitors will receive bug costumes. Yes, that's right, bug costumes. There are also prizes to be won in Quaratined Labs, with the top 20 runs with the highest style in less than 5 minutes receiving the prize of 1 Silver Thread Ball and 2 Great Solvents, while players who bring 3 pets to level 30 will receive 1 Perm Conditioner, 1 Hair Cream, and 1 Conditioner.

This event ends on November 18th, 11:59pm PDT, so you'll probably want to get crackin'.

Rusty Hearts Talks Adorably Creepy Pets

Alright, so a Pet system I can understand, and in Rusty Hearts, it sounds downright cool. Raise a pet! Have it fight alongside you! Get bonuses for exploring dungeons with your pet! All very  cool things.

In this latest Rusty Hearts reveal, however, they're talking a little more than just a cuddly partner in crime. If your pet dies in combat, for example, or if you put them to "sleep" (yes, that's a euphemism), you can revive that pet as a zombie. There are currently no details as to what this means for the behaviour of the pet, but they'll definitely take on a "deathly and zombified" look. So there's that.

Rusty Hearts showcases upcoming skills in CoD

New skills are making their way into Rusty Hearts' Cells of Darkness content update. This week, they've chosen to highlight one new addition for each character, with Tude getting a "Mount" skill (tee hee) that allows him to jump on an enemy, smashing them into the ground. Frantz gets an ultra-flashy AoE skill called "Hands of Hell," that allows him to slow his enemies while also leeching life. Natasha gets some awesome "Gatling Pistols," which allows her to lay down some serious suppressing fire. Finally, Angela gets something ridiculously shiny, called a "Blinding Beam," which is basically a point-blank super nuke that also burns your retinas.

Look for these new skills and more in Rusty Hearts' upcoming content update, Cells of Darkness!
