It's tricky to make a balanced PvP system in an MMO, but the team at Obsidian Entertainment thinks it has a plan in motion to make their fights fair. In the most recent Skyforge blog post, we learn about the theory and practice behind the fighting fair approach, and get a preview of the PvP maps that will be present at the beginning of beta.

Armored Warfare, a free-to-play tactical military MMO, just released its first Dev Diary, helmed by Project Director Richard Taylor. In this nearly 6-minute video Richard tackles some fan questions and shows off some all-new footage of the Armored Warfare world. Questions that are covered in the video include:

• Which vehicles are available in the game?
• How big are the maps?
• How realistic are the projectiles?
• Will weather conditions affect gameplay?
• How do the spotting mechanics work?
• Do destroyed vehicles remain on the battlefield?

Obsidian Entertainment has revealed one of Skyforge's starting classes: the Cryomancer. This class can dish out massive amounts of damage and, while geared for distance fighting, can rebuff enemies who get too close. It specializes in offensive and crowd control abiltiies.

Obsidian Entertainment has revealed another area in their upcoming free-to-play sci-fi fantasy MMORPG, Skyforge: Lanber Forest.

The Lanber Forest is a picturesque, bright corner of Aelion. An oasis of pristine nature, hidden away from the frenzied rhythm of the Capital city and the hum of factories. It seems quiet and peaceful here, but that peace is an illusion.

The farms are empty, as though the farmers simply walked away from their fields. The town of Kyris is also quiet. Once a popular, bustling place, for trade and festivities, it’s no longer filled with the carefree laughter of fairgoers or the rhythmic thud of forging hammers. You will not meet a single traveler in the town, or on a forest trail. Clear skies and the pastoral landscape are only a mask for the evil that lurks in the Lanber Forest.
