DOFUS, the leading massively multiplayer online game in France, has hit the 10 million-player mark, and is opening a new French server today in celebration.
According to a press release from Ankama, DOFUS now counts 10 million players, including 1.5 million subscribers, throughout the world since its release in September 2004. DOFUS is now played in 150 countries and will soon be available in 10 different languages. In fact, 30% of players do not speak French.
The developers are currently working on a sequel to DOFUS called Wakfu, which is a turn-based tactical MMO that takes place 1,000 years later.
