Warrior.. go with Blacksmithing or Engineering?Follow

#1 Jan 09 2005 at 2:22 PM Rating: Decent
I have been mining for 19 levels and want to choose my other profession now. I did do Blacksmithing yesterday and created some small stuff. However, I was talking to a couple high level (highest level) blacksmiths specialized in armor/weapons and they said it's a dead end job and not worth it. They said when you finally get to a high level, the stuff monsters drop is better then what you can make. They also said most people don't buy stuff because stuff that is dropped usually is better (with enchantments, etc..)

I was thinking about switching to engineering. Is engineering useful to a level 20 warrior? Can you make cool useful stuff and make some money?

I am lost!

Well im lv 40 Warrior now w/195 in Blacksmith and my anwser to you is they are right. My own opinion is it is a dead end job cause its costly once you hit high lv in skills. Truthfully the armors i been wearing (switching to plates now) have all been bought at the AH. I have made things that sold well at the AH but never for my own use. As i started late (switched from Alchemy/Herbalist) in my 20's i think. I have since switch to just mining and skinning (mining 218 / Skinning 208 = started 1 to 208 in 1 hour lol/last night). Working on my mount will cost money and the most high paying prof. out there is mining / skinning. Every other prof. need material and u supply the material, sell at AH for good money. Like i said befor i jumped out cause it wasn't paying out for me so i started skinning and i skin the heck out last night to get to 208. However it might pay well if you started early but i will never know.

Engineering is gear towards your own use and other engineers not for the public. So if you just want to buff yourself and not care about making money then go for it.

Hope this help.
