Wow, long time since ive been to this page.... You all used to know me as Sobek(50 Thf, very poor and no AF exept weapon), but I'm probally long gone from your memories. I started playing World of Warcraft, since all of my friends played, but were getting a little bored of only WoW, and it might sound crazy, but I miss the dunes. Wondering how the server is now, especially the economy, when i quit Emp. Pin was about 2 mil. I remember Agirlyman, whose name I saw on the page, but not so much everyone else. Wondering what i can farm because i gave all my money away to n00bs, only 50k so I didnt make super n00bs, and im wondering how I can work back up to my status of poor instead of broke. Oh, and wtf is Puppetmaster? Do I need to go by the expansion to resume playing? Can if its not to much, if you see a char named Hylia or Kara tell them that Sobeks coming back? Thank you soooo much!

Thank you, I like dragoon so I might try it out. I was in the linkshell RareEX, is that still around with many people? I left when it had more than any other I had been in.

Hylia quit the game... I think it's only temporary, though.

Technically its not mandatory to have the expansion to lvl but 99% of pts from 55 and up will be in the new areas because of the exp bonus from the Astral Candascence and the need for Imperial Standing Points to get the Turban and for ISNMs.

I don't know if there were any pre-paid gaming cards for FFXI, I know WoW has them but when I worked at GameStop there was never a listing for FFXI pre-paid game cards.

When you get back stick with drg on my mule myn is only 17 but it is so easy soloing and if u have a PL, u only need to rest for wyvern health (btw elvaan drg rock)

I'm possibly back too!!! Some may have seen me, Pcken, 72? Bard and 60? Warrior, I really cant remember.

I've played Warcraft 3, mainly DotA if some of you have heard, for a good year or 2, ever since 2004 September, then started playing WoW 2 weeks ago and boy, it made me miss FFXI like never before, I could go on forever how FFXI > WoW. I dont get it, I just feel so much attached to FFXI than WoW, like the OP said, the dunes, kazham, "Garbage Citahell" OH and the Crawler's Nest. Occasionally fishing at Qufim, helping a party for a Raise, being relaxed.... rolling up Gigant Squids were the days.

I've also wondered about the economy, are gil-sellers still as bad as before? I remember buying a Hauby for 2.7mil, SH was around 5 mil ever since the Claw could be dropped from the Op. desert storm. I dont know how i remember this, but it's laid pretty dormant in my mind for a while.


There are also alot of new things I've noticed, such as Chocobo breeding, new jobs, n stuff.

Anyway, I might see some of you guys ingame, I'm more of a casual player n I live in Australia (pretty far from most of you guys =/) since I got work n stuff.
