Soulfire Dynamis InvitationFollow

#1 May 04 2006 at 12:46 AM Rating: Decent

Soulfire Linkshell is opening our weekend runs (Saturday or Sunday) to guest members.

We run a small but experienced Dynamis linkshell and we'd like to work towards beating the Dynamis Lord in Dynamis - Xarcabard.

We're pretty strict on how our runs are handled so you'd have to follow our rules. If you are interested make sure you read them all at our website, which is at http://soulfire.dnsalias.org.

The basics of the rules ask that guests attend only our run on the weekends, earn at least 9 points before lotting at the highest category, and follow the lotting categories. These are explained in length on the website.

We are not, however, accepting anyone who wishes to lot on red mage or black mage at the present time. If you are one of these jobs and wish to lot on something else that is fine.

If you are level 65 and rank 6 or higher and want to try it out we are running Dynamis - Windurst on Sunday at 5pm EDT. Meet in Windurst Walls and ask one of the people in a yellow (Lion's Pride) or red (Soulfire) pearl to give you a Dynamis pearl.

Post any questions you may have about this here.

East coast North America. It's Eastern Daylight Timezone - EST during the winter. Basically, New York time.

Your dynamis rules are very detailed. Helps avoid drama.

Though forcing ppl to get 12 points before lotting, which means 4 full runs (a month) and that if all runs are victories sounds a bit exploiting ;)

Just my 2 gils.

Aside from X and CoP runs, you shouldn't be losing any Dynamis runs after like 2-3 months of runs, unless you're stuck under 25 people.
#7 May 04 2006 at 12:09 PM Rating: Decent

It's actually 9 points you have to earn, not 12. I don't know why I wrote twelve. So that's 3 runs. We don't lose cities or Beaucedine.

Also, that's lotting at the highest category, @1. People with less than 9 points would be lotting @3.

A lot of my people have their drops from the cities already. Our guests under our old system @3 were often able to get drops in 1-2 runs because no one else wanted what they wanted. This is especially true for all the melee jobs and maybe PLD.

We're not accepting RDM or BLM because our drop rates on these jobs has sucked and my regular members still need a lot of this.

Do you accept just invites for people who want to go just for the win?

#9 May 04 2006 at 12:18 PM Rating: Decent

The idea is to get a regular group of people who are attending on a regular basis and working towards beating Xarcabard. I really am not looking for fly-by-night members who want a win in a specific city.

I also forgot to mention that the last Saturday of each month will be a 'Fun Run' paid for by my linkshell. All lotting categories and points will be the same but all coins will auto-lot to everyone present.

The first 100 coin will be collected and sold to fund future fun runs and any succeeding 100 coins will be open lot to everyone present.

Barring my wife telling me no way count me in Meara. I've always wanted to try a dynamis but most of them have fallen in days I can't play or so late that I can't come.

I will be coming as bst/whm

If you are going to regularly hold runs on sundays I should be able to go to most of them.

lol, considering how many bst relic we've dropped since we started dynamis, you should be in pretty good shape for loot ;).

Well thats always a bonus if something does drop. Right now I'm just looking for some experience, try something new. Die in facinating new ways.

Of course any Bst gear that does drop would make me a very happy bst. :)

Count me in, I'd love to do some Dynamis runs -- never done one yet. Also, there's always the chance that I could win a lot over Nuke, and crush his dreams.

I can't pass up that chance.

Many Soulfire mannequins sport BST relic.

The moment we have BSTs attending Dynamis BST will drop no more!

It is the law of Dynamis. Anything you do want to drop will not drop. Hence I do not have a BLM hat after two years.

Perhaps we need to recruit many DRKs, DRGs, THFs, and BSTs to get more BLM and RDM drops.

It's a thought...

Anyways, you're all welcome to come and I hope something drops for you.

You're coming krog? Great.. there goes my chance of getting any Bst gear :)

I have the worst luck with the lotting system. 9 times out of 10 I'll end up with a lot of 300 or less when I want something but when its something I don't want I'll roll 700+.

Be fun having you their krog, we can go on a beastly rampage together :)

Thank you to all the guests who came to Dynamis with us this evening. We had an easy with with more than 1.5 hours left over after win.

We netted a total of 14 drops and one 100 coin.

We had a lot of melee jobs autolotted to people because we don't need many of these items - WAR, DRK, SAM - all dropped to people with low levels in those jobs or to people who will end up putting them on their mannequins.

There are a lot of opprotunities to get melee AF2 in our runs so please check us out.

Read the rules on our website and make sure you're familiar with our lotting.

Also, guests who came tonight all earned 3 points and should be able to see that on our website in a few days as well.

Oh, I forgot to say:

We're going to be in Jeuno on Saturday at 8pm EDT.

If you're interested in attending please be at the trail markings in Ru'Lude Gardens at 8pm EDT.

Our enter time is 9pm EDT (but come at 8pm EDT so we can sort out parties and lotting).

Everyone is welcome, as long as you're not lotting BLM or RDM.

Hey Meara, next time you do Windy, and Jeuno, can I bring my "Girly" **** along for the win? This hurts, but I would most definately "owe" you.

I think we're generally open to anyone coming along, but aren't actively seeking people that just want wins. We'd like to get a group of people that are willing to come along every week.

I've only passed sandy, and bastok, so methinks I have alot more to do, of which i'd be happy to do on a weekly basis. Unless it conflicts with my current ls's events. So If i come every week just for the wins, I really don't see the difference, wins, lots, farming...it matters not.
#22 May 10 2006 at 11:05 PM Rating: Decent

Yes, you can come as long as you follow the rules. As I said, we are very strict about how we run Dynamis. And not knowing the rules when they are available to be read on our website is not an excuse.

Dynamis - Jeuno is at 8pm EDT on Saturday.

After this week our Dynamis runs will be on Sundays at 5pm EDT.

Thanks Meara, look forward to kicking some ***** and having some fun in Dynamis with you, and your crew.
#24 May 14 2006 at 8:05 PM Rating: Decent

Thank you to everyone who showed up on Saturday for Jeuno.

We're still letting a lot of AF auto-lot in our run so please come out, especially if you are a melee job.

Our next run is on Sunday, May 21st, 2006 at 5pm EDT.

We're doing Bastok. Gather in Bastok Mines at the mog house. Talk to anyone in a red or yellow pearl standing around to join in.

Everyone over 65 is welcome (except no lotting on rdm or blm drops).

If you want to know more about Soulfire and/or our Dynamis rules please check out our website at http://soulfire.dnsalias.org.
#25 May 21 2006 at 9:12 PM Rating: Decent

Thanks for everyone who came out tonight. We had a total of 45 people show up and we got a full clear in Bastok, which included 5 one hundred coins.

We had a total of 12 drops, 6 of which went to people with the job under level 60 - including THF and SAM.

Please come claim these drops if you're a melee. We don't need them. Come get them.

As always, our rules are posted on our website at http://soulfire.dnsalias.org.

Everyone level 65 and rank 6 and higher are welcome.

We are not accepting blm or rdm at present (unless it's a blm or rdm who want to lot another job).

Next week we are going to be in San d'Oria. That is on May 28th at 5pm EDT.
