BLM36/WHM18 MAIN TANK...HUH???Follow

So I get a /tell from Barchiel, who I see posts on here from time to time, asking me if I can tank. I'm thinking he might have mistelled me so I say "LMAO" twice and then proceed to tell him that I am a 36 BLM. But he was serious. He actually asked me if I would be willing to main tank in his party at Garliage Citadel. Now he was a 32 COR, so the level gap was 1st of all going to be 4 levels. Thats bad enough, but to ask a taru blm to tank? I said that he must of been joking, and then he proceeded to call me a noob and that I can nuke for hate and stay alive by curing myself. He also suggested I sub SMN to use carby as a tank. HUH?!?!?

So my question is, am I in the wrong here for not accepting his invite? I have actually leveled blm to 75 once before, but due to my character "Gus" being deleted once long ago, I am relvling it back up slowly. In my 75 levels of BLM I have never really tried tanking an IT, lol. Especially as a taru. AND especially at level 36 with no blink or stoneskin available at that level.

Barchiel, what were you thinking? Who is REALLY the "n00b" here as you called me?

Awww cmon you guys.... ANYONE that knows Barch would know that he's just bein a dumbass lol. I do stuff like that sometimes to people and they're always like "wtf..blah blah blah." I usually talk to my LS members while doin stuff like that and they always get a kick out of it.

Indeed I did, lol...I couldn't figure out how to screenshot the text so I was frantically searching for batteries around the house to power my digital camera, took the pic and then was frantically making a website to post the picture. It was quite a fun ordeal, lol. I'm not very good with computers, and I'm sure there was a simple way of doing it, but that was the only thing that I knew how to do at the time, heh.

Only problem is if you have carby out you can't rest for MP so unless you've got a RDM refreshing you or bringing your own drinks you'd be pretty well stuck.

I don't think carby as a sub would last too long either :)

You'd probably have a better job (although less MP) going blm/Bst, at least you can rest with your pet beating up on the mob.

That is of course if your pet can ever get hate back from you nuking your pray to death or you even charming your pet (I have not tested out blm/bst yet, chr levels can't be that high for a blm.)
