Ancient Vows 2-5, Static COP party...can I have it???Follow

This is so sad, but after three attempts, I still need this bs, I couldn't find the exact same post i created several months ago, but that's where I am on COP. I'm looking for a static sea party, I am ready and willing to drop everything to obtain sea access, so if you're on the same mission send me a tell, or if out of the kindness of your heart, help me out!!!

I have a 53 mnk with a war sub sub if you need one, everytime I try to get this done someone wants nin, which I don't have.
If you can use me in the mission send me a tell ingame, same as forum name.
if not, well I'll have to get it done some other time.

I can help out if you need it AGM, got nin, war, thief, whm I can use for this to help out. Can bring the wife as well, but she only has whm available. Trying to get her sea as well, she's on 4-2 currently. Just send a ingame /tell to Davon if you need me.

i'll be glad to help with this. unfortunately, i'll only be available from 7 est to 12pm est so i dont have a lot of time. If you're ever short on ppl, send me a /tell. I have a lvl 64 blm and 60 whm and 75 brd only though.. lol.. i'm done with CoP but i really like doing the BCs

well if you guys really want to do this and don't mind doing promy mea, I don't ming going back and helping Rev at all if it get us moving foward. think about how much longer you all want to stay on 2-5 and I'm sure you'll see what I mean.
I also have whitemage at level 30 if we need one and blm at level 28 which I can levle fairly easily as well if we need.

Don't have to wait, if you have an able team go for it, 2-5 sucks from what I hear and most people won't even go back to do it again.

What days can you play AGM, I am on 2-4 (a CS away from 2-5)

I can come as Bst (preferred), whm, blm, smn. See my sig for levels. I know my whm & summoner won't be good enough for the later missions but some of the earlier ones they should be ok for.

The prob is that I usually only play Tuesday nights and all of sunday.

I wouldn't mind helping and starting a static. I've been trying to find a good static party for CoP but no luck so far. I can come as rdm or blm and am on anytime except wednesday, friday, and saturday nights.

Yeah Rev it does suck, and Davon I will be sending you a tell real soon bud, I want to get this Cop over and done with. Is 2-5 just a major sticking point? or a hint of worst to come??? I been running around in the new areas, so beautiful, and cool!

2-5 really isn't that bad. 3 ninja and a whm can kill the mammets. I think the fights coming up are much worse. 3-5 is Diabolos and a single Nightmare can spell the end for your group. You'll probably watch helplessly as he drops you one by one. Not to say you can't beat it after being hit by Nightmare though, my team at one and ended the fight 1/1, no deaths even with someone falling.

4-2 is Ouyru; when he takes to the air he can hit through blinks and he hits very hard. Our paladin decked in every possible piece of great gear at this level was still getting smacked around pretty good. Mistmelts are good to have. My group went 1/3 on this one and the time we won we didn't have any mistmelts to use. Any job that can put out massive amounts of damage in a short time are good on this one if you use a fight/sleep strategy.

5-2 I have heard is a pretty easy fight after what you've already been through, the difficult part is the NM's on the way but since you can take up to 18 those should not be difficult. I haven't found anyone that needs a mage for this mission so that's where I'm stuck.

Fair warning to you guys if you attempt this. Be prepared for lots of frustration, lots of gil going down the tubes and lots of hard fights. However, if you stick it out, it is well worth it.

The key is a good team that knows their roles, comes prepared for the fights and is well equipped. You can't skip on items, meds, etc. this will lead to doom almost everytime. Every BC fight we did in CoP we were 60/60 inventory wise and we always had the "trick" items (yellow liquid, mistmelts, salts, etc.).

To give you an idea what is in front of you, Mission 5-3 is as long as all of the ZMs to sky access. However, I can honestly say beating CoP was the most fun and satisfying experience I have had!

I'm actually still making my way through 5-3, but I have had so much fun with my static doing these. You HAVE to be prepared with meds, as Lokii said, and we always hashed out strategies ahead of time. Maybe if we had SMN and RNG it would be a lot easier, but we like the challenge.

2-5 can be a difficult hurdle, but many things after it are harder - Diabolos, Ouryu, Trackers, Snoll Tzar, Ultima/Omega, ...

We've been very successful; some we beat first attempt (Ouryu, Promy-Vahzl), some took us a couple tries (Diabolos, Trackers), but nothing has been a real sticking point yet, although we'll see how well we do against snoll tzar in a couple weeks (we only meet once a week and some weeks have been canceled)

For 2-5 specifically, we used a combination of "Super PLD" and "zombie" - the PLD grabs hate from two mammets but does not engage, provoke, or anything. That why the WHM can cure the PLD without the hate being transfered. The PLD also needs hi-pots to try to be as self-sustaining as possible. Then a secondary tank (WAR/NIN or an avatar works) pulls the 3rd and we slaughter it as quickly as possible. At this point, everyone is close to death, so you plan a strategic wipe and re-raise by the entrance (make sure you are not on the grass). Then come back and finish the other 2 in the same way (you won't have time for a 2nd wipe, but it's easier with only 2 mobs).

I STRONGLY suggest several Yellow Liquids on the secondary tank (since he's engaged, he can more easily what form they're in), with a few more scattered around for backup. I would suggest 5-10 liquids just to be safe (sell leftovers on AH or keep for 6-4). We used this strategy more than once to help a few others through (this was the point our static really coalesced).

One thing I've heard over and over is "no one wants to re-do these or help out". For some, it's a gear / level-cap issue, for others, just because they had such a hard time. For me personally, I love helping out, but only if people are willing to take it seriously. After the number of people who thought just "showing up" was sufficient (without reading strategy or buying necessary stuff), we haven't helped many others. The first sign for me to not help is when someone complains they didn't by sneak oils, re-raise earrings, or anything else because of the price. Sorry, but some things you just have to pony-up and deal with.
