I heard on other servers there was like 200 players versus like 10 beastmen lol. It was over in a few minutes. The area is going to be swarmed my ppl trying to get in the action. I think it will be best when it is unexpected. You know, you changed your job to go lvl in the Dunes...then BAM! They hit the town lol.

There have been 2 in the past 19 hours or so...

One was at about 4am ET this morning and the one just mentioned at around 9:30pm ET.

Quite frankly, Beseiged is great in concept and **** in execution. This is the ONLY thing I have been disappointed with in ToAU. Both times there have been about 400 people and by the time a mob loads up with all that lag it is either dead or almost dead.

SE needs to do something to fix this.

When the undead swarm attacked I think 110 mobs showed up. Some were killed on the way to town. When the mamool ja attacked I think 120 showed up. I'm starting to think more will come over time. I think on rare occasion the Mamool Ja, trolls and Undead will attack at once.

Seems likly..

I dont think the 110 and 120 are idicators of how many mobs are coming after us. A few people from my LS were at the 4am Besieged and I was at the 9:30 one personally. Granted, mobs loaded up slowly and mostly dead but the whole thing was over in about 60 seconds, so I am quite certain that there was nothing close to 120 mobs there.

Someone explained there take on that bar like this, it is like your TP bar. You cant do anything with it til it hits 100 and it only get stronger the higher it goes. I dont know if thats right or not but it sounds good.

Regardless, SE needs to do something with this. What should be one of the most fun aspects of the expansion just plain sucks!

I was at a beseiged yesterday. It was kind of cool to go outside as they were approaching and watch the swarm run by you (you could attack but the monsters would only stop for a few seconds then start running to town again.) Inside was as the others have said, many people, lots of lag, and not many monsters that came in waves. 4-5 would pop, everyone would kill them, then another 4-5, etc. I was able to engage and beat up on some although others in my ls never even saw them. BLM would just thundaga and the mobs would die quickly it seemed like.

I think the concept would be better if there were a lot more monsters and they didn't all spawn in the same general area... maybe have them coming over the walls, etc. Maybe it will get better as time goes on and less people are interested. Yesterday on our server 2 armies were marching at the same time, although it seemed they hit at different times.

They are without a doubt getting stronger, the Lv.2 attack lasted much longer then the Lv.1 attack. Plus as everyone said 500+ people vs. 4-6 mobs per spawn who wouldn't retreat I sure as hell would.

Yeah what LacysDad seems right. I'v been too 2 besiged and there was so much lag it was hard to tell how meny mobs showed up.

By the way I found alout of good exp camps, but you kinda need to spend the 200 ip for runic teleport to get to them quickly.. I think it works out in the end since Sanction gives an exp bonus.

SE must think this new concept of war type game play will keep us busy, but where are all the NMS!?

Aside from the not being able to hit anything. I don't mind if we keep making the beastmen retreat. Since our Exp bonus goes up with each successful defense.

Last attack we had 500+ people but I had to cure some of my pt mates. They're getting stronger as things go. I just don't think it's possible to have a server that can handle 500+ people in such an area like that. But eventually they'll be much harder fights.

There have been deaths at these things, I think I've heard.

All-in-all whether or not the mobs get stronger as time passes by- the event is always going to be an eyesore with the Lag from 600+ peeps (Shiva had a Beseiged not long ago with ~600+ ppl).

It was a level 4 I believe Undead Swarm. And I can't see how on Earth this concept can work with an ungodly amounts of people in the same zone. SE will have todo something about this because quite frankly it is not working. Some ideas would be to lock up the zone when they are advancing; or have a BCNM setup where people could go into instances of the battle; or have it where a signet type of spell is cast and only those with that signet can exist in that zone when they enter... I am sure there's a billion ideas but clearly- I personally do not see this working with these overloads of people.
