MH ability influence (factual question)Follow

I was looking at my ability List and noticed they were elemental. I had a small brainwave. Does mog house element influence the potency of your abilities?

For example:
Provoke is listed as an ice elemental ability. Should someone stack MH gear to make it ice elemental would that increase potency of provoke?

Just tossing out some ideas. tell me what you think. has this been proven or disproven?
