Worldpass questionFollow

Hey ppl.
I have a little question.
A friend of mine wanna play soon FFXI.
The problem is that you cant decide what server you wanna play.
He wanna come to the server where i am playing.(shiva)

I heard something about a Worldpass or something like that so you could bring friends over to other servers.

How can i bring a friend to the server shiva?

Please explain me everything. ^^

if you buy them a gold world pass they will get 12 chocobo passes when they start (which will definatly be nice untill they can get their first job to 20 and get a licence) also at 40 days you both get an item, (it's a set of hats that will allow you to cap yourself at what ever level they are at so you can party with them) at 100 days you both get an item (you can either choose an event item or a clock that goes in your mog house, i'm not sure what the clock does) at 300 (or 365, not sure) you both get another item, i don't know what it is for you, they get to choose another event item

there are two tiers of event items, i beleive they will only have access to the first tier, where you will be able to select from the second tier

gold world passes can be purchased from the same npc's that sell the regular world passes

regular world passes can be used multiple times, gold world passes can only be used once

the world pass vendor NPC's are as follows
Ambleon - San d'Orio Port (J-10)
Kachada - Bastok Port (J-6)
Gamimi - Heavens Tower (?-?)

you said they were having trouble deciding what server to come to. if you are on Shiva i would definatly suggest you convince them to come here as well. if they do not, the two of you will not actually be able to play together.

i was given a world pass to shiva so that i would be able to play with my 5 (now 6 because i convince another friend to start playing, and we're working on a 7th =-) RL friends that are all on shiva, and i can hontestly say i would not enjoy the game as much if wasn't able to play with them.
