I had a similar situation (well actually a few times). From 10-14 years old (off and on, but most of the time), I went door to door trying to get people to subscribe to othe local paper. We traveled all over the valley i lived in, and in 4 years, I saw some pretty crazy stuff. Several women completly naked, and tons of them in undies or see through. Ive seen people getting it on in their front rooms, with windows wide open. I've seen people beating their wives/husbands (yeah i wish i had a camera that day). I've had nasty old men try and convince me to come in for a drink, and even one that out right asked me too give him a pony wash (He was promptly jailed for that). I had an old lady ask me to wash her garage out (no not the one the car goes into), and for an old lady she was rather hot, in hind sight i should have taken her up on it (i was 14 at the time, and hadnt had my first experience just yet).
Ive been offered drugs, alcohol, sex, food, and im sure many other things i didnt want. I have been given money to leave people alone (funny enough, they gave me 20$, and the subscription was only 12$ a month at that time). I watched a guy run into a concrete staircase, and had to be taken to the hospital, and eventually had brain surgery because he hit it so hard, there was swelling. Now that i think about it, i wouldnt want my kids haveing that same job EVER!
As a teen, I worked in a mall, stopping the people walking by, and trying to convince them to take a survey (for a small moonetary reward of course). Sometimes the survey would call for males/females age 65+. Well we would just grab the first 14 year old, that thought 10$ was a good deal, and tell them to say they were 65 years old. As long as they would answer that age, even though they were obviously not, they would let them do the survey. So next time you see "In a survey of 1000 people 65+` years, we found..." Dont you ever beleive it!!
I think the rest of my jobs have been pretty plain all in all, wiht not much exciting.
