I can't never remember which of the topics were being used for this one... so I'll just put it in a new one.

I guess this episode was a mid season finale of sorts.
I'm not up on my comic book lore, and even less when it comes to the Flash. I don't know what the Doctor is, if he's even a comic book character.

I'm not sure I fully understand what happened in the episode at the end there. The Reverse Flash is a remote controlled Wells robot? But that doesn't make sense to me at all. Wells doesn't make sense to me at all. Can't grasp what his game is.

I'm only slightly more informed than you, which is to say I know a few names and characters and have the most basic of grasps on the character and source material. From my understanding the name Harrison Wells doesn't exist in the comics, which implies either new character (unlikely for a season one main character) or an alias (a more likely scenario). The going theory that I believe is that he's a time traveler. The name itself could be a hint. Harrison Wells. H. Wells. H. G. Wells. There's a lot of hinting on who it might actually be, with slight confirmation during the end, but I don't feel right posting the theories.

As for the show itself, I like it but I absolutely can't stand the Oblivious Love Interest angle with Iris.

The Flash and Arrow start back up next week. They have introduced the Atom, but I don't think he'll be the shrinking type. Not sure how they would integrate a skill like that into these two series.

Also a few articles talked about the possibility of an Atom spinoff. But I really can't see it happening, at least not right now. That definitely seems too spread out for these two series.

I feel like I missed something. I don't remember The Atom, I could have sworn the boyfriend of SmartGirl who was nuked during the accident was going to be Firestorm. Or was it someone else that I just managed to miss? Either way, the promos are showing a lot of Captain Cold, who I always found amusing. Dude with a parka and a gun versus a guy that can vibrate his cells to walk through walls always seems like a mismatch.

Sorry. The Atom is in Arrow. Hot blonde nerd's new boyfriend. He recovered some dwarf star material and is creating an exosuit with it.

At this point in time I've been treating Flash and Arrow as one in the same. The Characters have been crossing a lot over the last season. Usually the Arrow's Felicity showing up in the Flash

First introduction of The Atom's suit, or at least part of it, was almost exactly the Iron Man suit initial testing scene. Just with less success and less comedy.

I just can't get into Arrow. Flash on the other hand, I'm liking Captain Cold.

Arrow's not my favorite. And it seems to have a never ending supply of characters. I really just watched it because I didn't want to potentially miss something between the two shows.

They had Slade/Deathstroke, Brother Blood, H.I.V.E. (Which I don't recall going anywhere, other than the black guy saw it once while investigating Brother Blood), Cupid, Canary, Black Canary, The Atom, and Brick. I'm sure there are plenty of others I am forgetting. And it's only the third season, right?

But everything's been very non super powerish. No mutations or super powers to speak of. They threw the Flash into his own series to keep him out of the Arrow for the most part. Brick's strong, but doesn't appear to be invulnerable. Apparently just good at avoiding bullets (but arrows appear to work). The Atom is probably going to end up just being Iron Man.

Oh, and even in Season 3, half the series is still Flashbacks to the time he was missing. Mostly just to introduce which ever ability or character Oliver is going to use next.

Well, now we see Wells using his powers sporadically and we see the wheelchair isn't really a prop and necessary afterall. I kind of thought it was just a decoy. Also nice of them to mention the Speed Force by name. Also good to see Barry not being the only member pulling his weight when it comes to crime fighting, though the end of the fight did feel rushed and kind of anticlimactic.

I'm on an Arrow binge after seeing Felicity in one of the Flash crossover episodes. That character is just the best thing ever. Makes me giggle like a schoolgirl whenever she gets a case of verbal diarrhea. Her awkwardness is endearing to the nth degree.

The Iris + Barry thing is getting on my nerves, mainly because I can't stand the Iris character. Also, isn't Iris's boyfriend (the cop guy) named Thawne? Eddie Thawne? As in Eobard Thawne aka Professor Zoom aka Reverse-Flash? Such confusion.

There were a few moments I remember them hinting about Eddie doing/being something. My knowledge of the source material is minimal so I couldn't make any specific guesses.

I'm sorry, but I have to hijack the thread for a second to mention some Arrow business:

I guess I should read the internets more. People are saying it's her transitioning into the Black Canary. She goes from sweet in the first season to druggie in the second and He-Man in the third, apparently. She definitely had surgery, though. The surgeon ****** up her jawline.

A picture of her transition: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-btfA4ZxmwQ4/VEUXjzrU4PI/AAAAAAAAA4c/e_T4LZIEBrU/s1600/Laurel%2B1-3.png

Edit: She doesn't look anything like her former self, and she looks about 20 years older. Good job.

At least she looks kind of okay in your second set of pictures. In the first ones she looks like a he trying to look like a she.

Edit: Peek-a-boo is a dumb name. I named her Sexy Nightcrawler. Also that bullet catch was pretty damn cool. Also, right in the feels moment was tear worthy.

I wonder what they are going to do with Gorilla Grodd. I've only seen in in an episode or two of some random animated shows. I think he was wearing some sort of head gear that made him smart, or able to control people, I can't remember which. Not even sure what show it was. A lot of the time these animated shows are just background noise while I'm doing other stuff.

They really need to cast NPH as a live action version of the Meister.

I am behind this eleventy-million percent. x23

And really, this show is the perfect place to do that, since it isn't taking itself so serious so far.

Only problem is that the Flash is faster than sound, and he could cover his ears before the Meister even starts up. How's Gotham or Arrow doing villain-wise?

Arrow currently has Brick as the main baddy. Gotham is half way through a two parter involving Scarecrow.

He's not faster than sound yet, though. He just got finished getting his butt handed to him by the soundwave guy two or so episodes ago. I could see maybe Arrow, just to toss in some absurdity into what seems a pretty serious business show. Gotham I don't believe is part of the DC television universe.

Either way it has to be Neil Patrick Harris. No exceptions.

I thought he broke the sound barrier already on the test tracks some time ago. Like the first time he was out there. Not when he was playing with the missiles just this last time. Either that or they were just talking about it.

I could have sworn he was just under and they were talking about him doing it eventually. Maybe he is, and did. I think the show has been handling his power pretty well so far so I wouldn't put it past them to be able to find a way to make it work, and you gotta admit that Meister would fit the general tone of the show. I mean, we did just find out what a good singer Barry is ...
