Maybe you should take your reading comprehension up a notch or two. Then we wouldn't be arguing over essentially nothing here.
And to be exact you implied me to to have said this thread doesn't belong here.
Funny you say that.. See below.

Which I didn't say anywhere.
I'm pretty sure you knew exactly what I was refering to, but it's way more fun to play dumb and keep this going, amirite?
We were discussing the dialog between myself and Tirith, so I'm not sure why you inferred "you" to refer to literally you given that I was quoting Tirith in my explanation and you responded to me (not the other way around). You were never part of the conversation so WTF would you assume that I was talking about you, given the context?

How did you reach that conclusion exactly? The collective "we" who post here tend to be video game playing, anime watching, comic book reading, MMO forum posting, nerds. Are you seriously going to tell me that's the target audience for this movie?
Do video game playing, anime watching, comic book reading MMO forum posting, nerds like comedy movies? I literally fit in everyone of those categories and like comedy movies. So I'm confused on how the previous categories negate comedy movies.

That post was about all-black comedies in general. I specifically mentioned the heavy use of cultural humor in such movies, of which I am not the target audience. Now, this particular movie might not be such a film, but the prevalence of that type of comedy has me predisposed to dismiss it as such.
Contrary to your belief, not all Black comedy movies are full of chuckin' and jivin'. Most Black comedy/romance movies that I've seen have very little "cultural humor". If by "cultural humor", you mean, being black, then yes. Else, there really isn't much difference. If you feel otherwise, I would like to hear some examples. You act as if these films were filmed in, by and staring Nigerians or some random African country as opposed to U.S. Americans.

He's saying that this movie is a mainstream comedy, and that the target audience is "people who enjoy comedies". Since most people enjoy comedy, most people are the target demographic.
This.
