Although I thought Ultimate Fury was running around on Earth 616 now?
It happened in Battle Scars. And I really wish the picture wasn't accurate. I think Ultimate Fury showed up in Miles' book once or twice, but admittedly I could be remembering something else.

So to keep track: Ultimate Reed is hanging out with the Cabal, while Ultimate Spider-Miles is hanging out with both Spider-Man and his Amazing Multiverse Alternatives and the Time Displaced X-Men, who are also hanging out with the Ultimate X-Men, all leading towards Battleworld and the "big March shakeup that is the biggest thing Marvel has ever done event-wise" according to the Marvel spokespeople. So, no doubt, the end game here is ending the Ultimate universe, and a couple of the other timelines, in order to merge the more successful elements into one cohesive universe, until they run out of single multiverse idea and start that up again. I wonder how much of M2 will be brought over. Mayday Parker is already hanging around Spider-verse. Spoiler Tag, sucker. Keeping track of this crap is a nine-to-five job in and of itself. Smiley: mad

Fairy Tail: First page of the MangaPanda chapter confirms that Fairy Tail Mavis is the official pre-sequel (GDI Borderlands) to the main series while Grey's story is a spinoff.

Bleach: Well, the obvious answer (Inoue) has been ruled out. I guess they'll just leave him dead, kill Ywach (not even attempting to get his name right), and rebuild SS from the ground up or something.

Bleach: The Soul King is okay, he ate the Yomi Yomi Fruit so he'll be back in a chapter or two. Kind of good to see Kubo keeping Orihime as useless as ever.

One Piece: Rest in Peace in Pieces Mick Jagger.

Spider-Verse is over, but so far Kaine is missing and the author avatar is barely scratched. I really hate Silk. Spider-Woman is moving on from Avengers, and getting a new costume. On one hand it's not the body paint, which is a step in the right direction. On the other it's basically Wonder Woman's old new costume, which no one at all liked.

Black Vortex - They 90s eXtremed Rocket Racoon and Fear Itselfed X-23. Smiley: mad

Walking Dead - So ... she's into necrophilia?

Thor - I've narrowed my suspicions to either Jane Foster, New Environmentalist Girlfriend Introduced Last Volume Who's Name I've Since Forgotten Since She's Also Fallen Off The Face Of Midgard, or One Of Three Future Granddaughters (or all three in a fusion). Listed in order of likelihood.

Nah, Kubo is probably going to have them panic and worry about the end of the Soul Society after they beat Ywach, and then Orihime will shyly suggest that she tries to fix him again. Sometime during that it will be suggested that Ichigo take over as the Soul King since he's now the "Uber-Being" and would be the logical center since he contains the four basic food soul groups. Everyone comes back to life, "Naruto" marries "Sakura", and the sequel/spinoff turns out to be the adventures of Hamataro and Yuichiru (not Yuichiru-Prime). Smiley: oyvey

I had way too much time to think about that. Smiley: frown

Based on the foreshadowing at the end of the chapter it's probably going to be Ukitake.

Marvel:

I liked the latest chapter in Black Vortex until everyone got upgraded at the end. Oh, & the fight between Kitty & Peter about upgrading at all. That was lame. Super Gamora is so cool that Kitty shouldn't have questioned it.

All New X-Men wrapped up their trip to the Ultimate Universe so we can pretend that Black Vortex takes place immediately after. Not a great story all together. Looks like young Beast is going to become douchey like current time Beast. Ugh.

I wasn't reading the tie-ins, but the end of Spider-Verse was lame.

Captain Marvel: Someone stole her alien cat & alien friend. Carol is having none of that.

Manga

Bleach: Ichigo's blood betrayed him, oh no's!

Attack on Titan: Historia grew a pair, her Dad became a Super-Colossal Titan, & it looks like Erin is becoming a big *** Armored Titan?

Bleach - Aizen planned it all along. Oh, and look. A super powerful god that hasn't even been hinted at in the slightest in over six hundred chapters is going to make the plot move on.

One Piece - Can you smell-lalalala ... what the Pirate Hunter ... is cookin'?

Fairy Tail: Mavis Edit-ion - She's still adorable.

Captain Falcon America and the Mighty Avengers - You don't know how happy I am that they're bringing in the Beyond Corperation. Nextwave was such a great, short lived book that any and all references to it makes me grin ear to ear. Welcome to my pull list.

Legendary Star Lord - So the last page of last week's GotG book didn't actually happen? It was just kind of the reflection in the Black Vortex? I'm cool with that, no Rob Leifeldian Rocket Raccoon is always a bonus. I like Gamora's weapon storage cloak.

Rocket Raccoon - Speaking of the rodent, I acknowledge his taste in food as exemplorary. Good man, that.

Uncanny X-Men - "We didn't actually put much thought into this story arc and ultimately couldn't make it work, so it didn't happen! Yay!" And people wonder why I can't stand the mutant side of the Marvel universe.

Silk - Let's cover this.
- Super smart and has perfect memory
- More agile than Spider-Man
- More powerful Spider-Sense
- Intricate web weaving ability, instant clothes creation
- Web waving ability, circa 1960s Spider-Man. She made a webshield. A mo'fo'king webshield. WEBSHIELD
- Instinctively has the hots for, and feelings returned from, Spider-Man
- Was a central important character in first story line, Spider-Verse
- J Jonah Jameson likes her.
If that doesn't scream "pre-teen's self-insert author avatar fan fiction" then you've been blessed to never have read Neon Genesis Evangelion fan fiction. But, I'll give credit where credit is due and say I like the art direction, and the first issue story wasn't bad. I mean, the new Thor's first issue was a trainwreck so the standard is pretty low, but I can see myself reading this book. Being ticked about the spoilered part, sure, but I might enjoy this more than Bleach. Which ... I guess isn't saying much either. So I hate it less than I thought I would.

She-Hulk - Shame it has been cut after twelve issues. The story wasn't bad, but the art certainly was.

Bleach: IDF called it.

Marvel:

The Black Vortex:
Seriously Marvel, between bringing the original X-Men to the present, his Illuminati shenanigans, and his recent power drunkeness w/the Black Vortex - Could you make present day Beast any more of a douche?

Rocket Raccoon: Skotie Young's art makes this book almost perfect.

Ms. Marvel: Loki shows up & spikes the punch at the dance. Shenanigans ensue.

The Beyond Corp. showing up in Captain America & the Mighty Avengers almost makes me want to pick it up - But only if Dirk Anger or Devil Dinosaur are running it. Nextwave was ******* great.

Avenger's World: Flashback time! This issue see's Smasher & Cannonball's pre-baby business. Looks like Sunspot vs AIM is next up.

Nova: Wrapped up the Carnage vs Nova storyline. About ready to drop this book as it's been treading water for a bit.

Bleach:
Urahara wrote:

I know how he fells.

One Piece: Santoryu - Fastball Special

Toriko: Dance Monkey Dance~ Also, the savory aroma of sweaty monkey balls.

Let's see, on the other side of the pond.

Mutants: Beast looks an awful lot like Apocolypse, though it might be the artist. Might also be how much like Archangel Warren is looking. Gamara looks like one of her older designs, but all cosmic-y. On the other side of the cosmos which also happens to have Storm involved, kind of liking that they're bringing Cain Marko back into the mix. I really liked him in Thunderbolts, and then Fear Itself happened and ruined everything.

Inhumans: Looks like a royal divorce is in order ... until Uncanny Inhumans starts up which I'm sure they'll end up reconciling. I like Wild Hair Medusa more than Scorpion Tail Hair Medusa.

Avengers: You don't see the Living Tribunal too often. Apparently Geri curl and disco suit Beyonder from the original Secret Wars, who was recently disclosed to being a mutant and the most powerful of the Beyonders, is now just a baby Beyonder and barely a fraction of their power. Consistency.

Spiders: I was kind of hoping Spider-Gwen would stick to 616, as shunting her to a difference universe pretty much dooms the book. That is, of course, assuming that the upcoming Secret War doesn't merge her into 616 anyway, which is pretty likely should the book sell well enough. Kain is ambiguously dead. 2099 is in an alternate 2099, and I'm still pretty bitter that they only brought him out of retirement just for the Spiderverse storyline as a plot device.

Bleach: You can't get more generic than "the main enemy from the previous arc is now our friend and/or ally in this arc." Taking money on Aizen stealing EyeBoy's power and becoming the Big Bad again?

One Piece: Bellomy loses the exact same way he lost last time. But this time he's okay with it. Kind of adds weight to the theory he'll be the next crew member, but I still say he doesn't really add anything to the crew. Bartolomeo for life, yo.

Toriko: Tongue kiss a monkey to get his balls to drop.

Avengers: Roberto gets his company's board of executives shareholders killed. We already know he ends up taking over AIM, so I'm left to believe that it was all part of his plan.

Aizen is going to get his wish an become the Soul King, either by completely replacing him or by transferring his power to the Soul Corpse.

Quote:
Toriko: Tongue kiss a monkey to get his balls to drop.

Monkey King sees former girlfriend and immediately relinquishes his balls.

Western Comics:

Marvel:

Avengers World: Roberto's initial takeover didn't go as planned. Or maybe it did? Either way knowing the result of the time jump makes it so the tension is every bit as tense as when Alfred got stabbed during Gotham last week.

Avengers: All those Alien races the 616 joined to combat the Builders & then Thanos are now teaming up to take Earth out & save Universe 616. Both sides are joining up with the Guardians to stop the threat while Reed & Black Panther take Valaria's idea of "learn how not to lose" to the extreme.

Question: Is Cyclops' phoenix egg plan being covered more thoroughly in the X-Men books?

Rocket Raccoon: Gritty days of future past type story. Still fun though. Skottie Young no longer doing the art, but still writing it. New artist fits the story well.

Guardian's Team Up: I would read just about anything written by Bendis with art by Adams, so the fact that it's a Team Up book (which usually blow) is just a bonus.

Image
Image has a lot of strong books going right now, so if you're not reading any of these & are looking for something good I'd recommend it.

Rat Queens: Elder god squid beings with the ability to give you sex dreams attack the Rat Queens, before they take the fight to the big bad. Also, new artist starts this issue as the artist that created the book was removed after a domestic violence charge. Can't really draw a girl power book while you're wife beating trial goes on. I really liked the old art more so than the new (as it fit the tone of the book better), but the new art is good too (just different, but a little less "fun") & the writing is still clever.

Black Science: This is probably the 2nd most original book I'm currently reading (behind the next title I talk about). If you aren't reading it, its like sliders Crossed with a gritty Lost in Space reboot. Don't get attached to any one character. If you are, after a jump to a new world things get more complicated (women, right?) after Grant's return.

Saga:
The plots of all 3 groups moves on!

Manga:

Dragonball: Return of Frieza
Akira Toriyama is doing a 3 part manga version of the new movie coming out this year. This is the best Dragonball related thing to happen since they put out a decent new Dragonball video game a couple weeks ago. Frieza gets resurected by Pilaf & vows to train to get stronger. Apparently, the Frieza we new was such a strong prodigy he never really trained, so we're to assume that by him training for 4 months he'll get as strong as SS3 Goku.

Thankfully, Toriyama has ignored GT entirely so unless you count Gotenks & Veggito (or whatever Goku transformed into in the last movie), I think SS3 Goku is as strong as the Dragonball crew gets.

Bleach:
I feel like I've been waiting for it to get good again since the fight with Uliquera (sp?) ended.

Fairy Tale:
While it's still fun, I feel like it's gonna be years before they get the guild back together at the rate they're going.

Gogeta was the GT Fusion mode, which can still happen since the Fusion Dance existed in DBZ. Anyway since they just introduced Super Saiyan God mode in the last movie, there is no chance that any training will actually raise Frieza's level to a credible threat.
