Ive got a LS that just started up, its intended to be a shell for newer folks to get to meet each other, and for older folks like myself to help them out in understanding the game. It is an open shell, no rules, and everyone is allowed, all members will have sacks and can invite anyone they wish. There will be events such as important quests (jobs, level cap breaks, af), but this shell is more social than anything designed to more so to develop a community than to conquer the game. If you are interested leave your game name and ill try and hit you up when I can.

Anyone else experiencing frequent disconnects? Ive been getting thrown off after 15-20 minutes for the last 3 days I don't know if its my net or steam or ffxi itself. It is becoming increasingly bothersome.

Sure I would be interested ingame name is Allena but also can send tell to Meara if not on.

hmm it seems to be my ISP, or maybe the modem (or my network card), I had my brother do a check and it seems that my computer drops connection every 20-45 minutes, and then picks it up again a minute or so later, would explain why I notice it in FFXI, but not really when I am on the net browsing around.

Still having connection issues....Seems to only apply to FFXI, I can leave EVE-O on all day without a DC, stream movies for the full time, play many other games online, but as soon as I connect with FFXI my internet slips off after 20 minutes or so, without fail everytime like clock work.
(global setting in FFXI for auto-DC is set to OFF, and I lose internet in my entire house not just my PC.)

Hey everyone, I just created a new character on Lakshmi and am hoping to get acquainted with the community asap. :D
A bit of background on myself (for those who care to know). I used to play about 40hrs a week (not something I'm super proud of to be honest) for about 4 years, doing Sky, Sea, Kings, and pretty much whatever else a HNMLS does. I quit a few years back after my account got hacked, and after some consideration of some good advice I got on here I am just going to start fresh and let my old character stay dead. My new character has the same name (race, face, etc) as my last: Acejester
If anyone has a nice social LS that I could join I would love to do so. :)
Anyhoo, these days I'm a full time student (like I imagine a lot of you are) and am currently going through finals week in addition to finishing up grad school apps, so I won't be around a whole lot over the next week or so, but hopefully that won't stop me from getting to know some over you.
