This weekend my sisters both came back home for a couple days, which is the first time our entire family has been together at home for quite a while. Much hilarity ensued.
On the saturday night we had a meal out with my dads side of the family for my grans 80th, which is first time I've seen one of my cousins for years. I think my g/f handled meeting a whole load of new people pretty well. Unfortunately they don't do seafood, so no jokes to be made here
The present we gave our gran made her cry in the middle of the restaurant in front of everyone

If anyone is planning on doing an Abyssea alliance exp run let me know. My BRD could use the exp.
I'm up for one tonight, actually. Been busy with work the last few nights... so any free time I've had all weekend was spent procrastinating working on my presentation for class tonight, but I'll have the next three days off from both school and work!
I hope my copy of Seppukumon arrives before it's time to go back to work.

My RDM is still 75 and my THF is just 77. I need some Abyssea groups right meow!
Had a pretty decent Abyssea group. Went from 10k into 76 to 10k to 78 on Scholar.

So I am in a long-term relationship with Maat and capped at lvl 70, which sucks.
The Guild Season 4 started today, which does not suck.

Fighting Maat on RDM was the suck! I found the only way to beat him was to run right in and sleep him. Don't wait at the enterance and buff yourself because he is doing the same thing. Run in, Run up and sleep him then dispell him. Then gravity, bind and nuke nuke, Sleep... convert, Chainspell, nuke nuke nuke, sleep untill dead.

The only buffs you really need on yourself after you sleep him the first time are stoneskin, shell and I guess aquaveil would be good now. The key is to think of it less as a smooth, controlled fight and more as a psychotic "blast him in the face as fast as you can" fight.
Definitely try running up and sleeping him immediately though, that makes it a lot easier and it means you have a lot less to dispel.
Magian trials suck when people do not work as a team. JP people are much cooler than EN people with this regard usually. I was in the tree and asked if I could help out on my trial since they were doing the same thing, where they would get credit for my work and I get credit for their work. And they flat out refused.
At least I can bond with the JP people and work as a team then :)

Trying sleep/debuff/nuke. Special macros just for maat. My error has been in getting so comfortable (they go pretty smooth) that I do this too long and then he hits with Asuran Fists. >.< I usually have him down to around 50% so I should really know better and start nuking.
Last night I got tired of it. Ran in. Cast blink and stoneskin. Popped a yag drink then Diaga, Chainspell, A3, A3, A3, Vile elixir, A3, Stoneskin, vile elixir +1, A3... This was by far the closest. Below 50%. BUT! When I stoneskinned and v+1, I forgot to retarget maat so my last a3 was clumsy and I should have had time to hit him more.

Almost have 3 80s now, PLDs 77 and BLM will probably be 80 next Abyssea we do... started working on an Thunder damage potency staff today, doesn't seem like it'll be too bad to finish.
