You most likely saw me trying to skill summoning (one of my only two uncapped skills, other than crafts), or standing around and slacking off on doing that because GODDAMN I hate skilling this crap

Skilling up is fun though... ._.

Skilling up is fun when you can continuously throw attacks that get skillups at a fast rate. This can't be done with summoning skill. This also can't be done with, say, enhancing magic, since you can't ATTACK with it (which gets a far better skillup rate than casting on yourself/allies does, assuming the target is high enough level)

And yes, I know summoning was even worse back when blood pacts didn't give skillups. It still sucks now.

You'd also have to summon something to cook it...and I hear Ifrit is terrible on the grill.

I was under the impression that the steaks were summoned already cooked.

Guess I'll have to get off my lazy butt and skill up cooking.

Looking for a LS to do stuff with, I don't play overly frequently but I do play. I am kind of halfway between Abyssea and Voidwatch.

I have over 900 Abyssea stones and over 700 Voidstones.

Abyssea progression wise I am done, just a matter of getting some gear from it, Voidwatch I have done a few of the bastok fights, and then I quit.

Jobs: RDM, WHM, BLM, BRD, PLD, DNC mostly geared (except PLD and BRD) all relevant sub jobs as well. SCH is close to being useful, and is my current project.

So ya, hit me up with your social or event shell, and ill help out where I can, and hopefully you can help me progress further into voidwatch since that seems to be what everyone is into these days (even though I don't really like it much)

I am sad today, today I learned a friend of mine was killed. A man named Sean Smith, his life taken in Benghazi. I met Sean in an internet spaceship game, EVE online. Most of the time we spent shooting each other and our friends. Its sad that hate can ruin lives in such a way, it is crazy that hate can show one how small the world truly is.

I have never met him, and likely never would have, outside of the universe of New Eden that is. It is a sad day for me and my EVE friends, it is even sadder I am sure for his family and friends. The community of EVE is either awe struck or grief struck, the universe has held its vigil, Cyno's have dotted the star map from north to south, player owned stations have paid homage to their fellow pilot Vile Rat.

I don't know if I am truly sad sad, I have never experienced death in my life, this is the closest thing to a personal loss that I have had, and it is very disheartening. I remember talking about diplomatic stuff with him when he was in Baghdad, and he had to leave all of the sudden. In the middle of a 20 man diplomatic meeting he left because there were explosions and gunfire in his vicinity, a while later he returned and told us it was just us shooting at an enemy convoy.

Apparently his EVE community was the last to hear his voice, not his wife, or kids, but his friends in internet space ship games, a similar story but one he did not return from. Crazy how small the world is, crazy that I feel sad for a person I have never met, for a person who, had I never played EVE would be another statistic in an ongoing war against hate.

Sorry for bumming out the thread, but I just need to make words.

RIP Vile Rat. NBSI or BSI it doesn't matter, fly safe mate o7

I took some time off to play FFXIII....almost finished with the game and man does the difficulty curve jump way up in the last chapter or two.

On an FFXI related note: People who go BLM/NIN to fight an NM that throws nothing but -ga4 spells and AoE attacks make me facepalm...

I know that, for me anyway, between stuff in-game, the database/wiki stuff I do on here, and just battling my ever present insomnia issues, I don't post in here as often as I'd like.

I hopped on after the update and did a Campaign battle in an attempt to retain my Medal of Altana. During the course of the battle, I noticed a subtle change to the wording of one of my spells.

Note that it no longer says they're blinded.

I guess because they're finally realized that Flash and Blind are two separate ailments.
