Ok which of you guys are still playing? I am thinking of coming back but really only plan to come back if many people I played with and talked with are still about. Anyone know if Ziplock still plays?

I'm playing and I think I've seen Zip around although I think its now spelled Ziploc since the merge. I could be very wrong.

I'm pretty sure it was Ziploc before the merge. At least, I remember it being that way on Garuda.

If I recall, Zip was the shell holder for Shibby, or if not I definitely remember seeing them in the LS when I was in it. That LS....kinda fractured and split apart due to a falling out between some members. Don't know what happened to them after that.

Then again, that's the last I remember seeing of the name.

Most of Shibby moved over to SoM when the volcano erupted.

Unless you have run a shell before I don't think anyone understands how hard it is to keep a shell running. I ran myself ragged trying to make mine work. I kept it going for about a year but during that time I never got to do anything just because I wanted to and I felt like I always had to help people. I just stopped having fun. I totally understand why they break down.

Seriously guiz? Only 200 posts in the 3 months since I've been here last? Apparently I have to start playing and posting again just so this thread makes some decent progress!

Also, as I was going back and rating up every post catching up with the thread I noticed that you guys have been severely slacking with rating up each other's posts to Excellent supporting each other. For shame! I started quoting and replying to a crapload of everybody's posts, but it got so big that I just decided to start from scratch.

As you've probably guessed/noticed, I haven't been playing lately. About 4-ish months ago I decided to stop playing FFXI so I could work on my golf game (drink), do real life stuff (drink), and catch up with some other games I've been meaning to play for years (drink). Turns out that I hurt my knee so I can't golf, I've been getting bored, and a small surgery I'm having soon will keep me stuck at home for a few weeks... so I guess I'll start playing again! Also, this UI rebuild and new expansion have me pretty curious!

Now I'm not so sure. Just did a few VWNM runs with some friends and I was overwhelmed by how outclassed Corsair is now. The Save TP nerf killed COR. Tonight I parsed 3 or 4% of total damage in fights I used to get 20 to 30%. Sure, it was a bit broken before, but it still killed the fun for me.

Oh well at least you had a period of being awesomely OP. Ive never had that. RDM is teh suck, but it really is the only job ive ever actually loved.

I'll probably just insist on playing BLM for a while. I <3 BLM, but it's incredibly rare that I actually get to play it.
