Anyone going to the west coast PAX 2012 in Seattle next month? It'll be my first PAX so I'm pretty stoked.
I've just started up ffxi after about a seven year break. I must say, with all the changes to the game it's pretty overwhelming. Even though I still remembered my POL ID/password, I decided to start fresh which I may regret. What do you think?
I'm in need of a casual/fun linkshell that's sympathetic to new/returning players if anyone knows of one, thanks!

Already on my list. Still need to do the quasilumin escorts, smash some pots, and throw some cures at Prishe while she wrecks Promathia for me.
Not having Sea access was the primary reason I didn't seriously consider leveling BLU. Now that I have it, it will probably be the 4th job I take to 99, once I finish WHM & DRG. The one thing in my favor is having sword capped & merited from PLD.

Funny thing is that thanks to Abyssea, almost all the sea spells can now be gotten without having sea. The Scars zones all have sea mobs as their VNMs.
The one notable exception is Disseverment; not really sure how useful that spell is anymore, except for like, kite/bind solos where you rely on DoT to take your foe down.

Grats. I'm still in the process of gear de-gimping. Spent too much time leveling jobs, and now that I want seals for them, hardly anyone does seal runs anymore. Time to bug the linkshell >=)
