Valdan sighted in dynamis tonight according to a friend. (I couldn't attend tonight's run because of work.)

Since this is, or rather was, a thread about Valdan, I thought I'd post that our favorite thief has definitely returned. :P
He also now has in his inventory a shiny new Duelist's Chapeau. My friend, who got out lotted by some 100 points or so, mentioned that it would look nice next to his PCC. D/C'd after that.

He's only attended dynamis like 3 or 4 times and he already gets a duelist's chapeau?! Like, WTF.

Now back to our normally scheduled derailment.

Never thought that "called it" would end up as me with the victim though. I HAD that ******' hat, 777, a good 200 above everyone else who'd lotted. Then Valdan lots an 878.

That was the only armor drop we got all night, too. ;_;

for once, i actually agree with vawn.

It sounds like his lot was legit this time, but that's not really the point at this point in time.

You know, that's what I'm wondering as well. I would have been cool if Valdan had a few more runs under his belt AND had points to spend. If I was there, I would have said to not let Valdan lot on it. Since I wasn't there, I can only guess that he did ninja lot it or he ignored commands to pass. At least, that's what I'm hoping.

The 70+ thing is just for Dreamlands. Rest of the time, I don't believe there's a limit on level, just that you have it set as your main or sub prior to the run.

Our Leader told me he's going to break Valdan's pearl, if he ever shows his face in LS again that is...

And I run with a dynamis LS that would "associate with the likes of Valdan" simply because... they're the only shell I've found that starts runs in the late evening, PST. Due to RL, I can't be glued to my keyboard for FFXI earlier in the day/evening, the way I have to be during Dynamis. And at this point, I have friends in the 'shell and I enjoy doing runs with them.

Also, the shell-and-sack-holders weren't aware of Valdan's reputation until after he'd gotten the hat and I made a fuss about it over Skype.

If I'd been less in shock/horrified over the situation, I would have made a fuss earlier than I did, before the hat dropped to Valdan. I was apparently the only person in 'shell at the time who was fully aware of who/what Valdan is, and even I was forgetful enough that seeing his name in the BLM party failed to ring any bells for the first 20-30mins of the run. By the time I realized that we had a douchebag in our midst, he'd already lotted the Chapeau.

Im a healer and i dont think ive ever seen a dragoon die from using spirit link. Altho i do panic when a rdm converts in the middle of a battle 0.0

Speaking of CommanderKing, I have a weird feeling I may know who this mystery poster is. His posts (on all threads) have a very similar sound to a Lakshmi player mentioned many times on these boards

Sadly, it wasn't a "ninja" lot though. If it were, one of the BLMs could have just D2'd him, since he was in the BLM party to begin with. It was just a jackass lotting something when there were people in zone who deserved it more than he did.
