I think if she were there would be an entire video dedicated to Leisure Suit Larry.

To be fair, I've never seen Anita Sarkeesian play a game. She might be a KB+M devotee. We could get together over coffee and laugh and the controller people.
Actually, I think there's a vid of her "playing" with a controller where they forgot to even turn the controller on. Also, her library is pure console peasant.

Also, this happened.

Also that's better, it isn't good drama until someone is threatened with losing their job over something silly.

This one hits a bit closer to home than I would have thought. They ended up getting harassed into retracting it, including apparent internal pressure from a former Wowhead mod. One I've interacted with in the past. I'm off to go sing It's a Small World After All about a dozen times, then off to bed.

Tonight is apparently Mark Kern's "Night of 1000 navels." Also, Reddit mods have recently been proven to have colluded to silence GG. There was the recent coffee scandal(someone GG supports had coffee with someone aGG supports. aGG lost their **** towards their person for daring to treat one of the people they hate as a human). And that's all I can think of as far as recent happenings.

Oh, snap. I missed a big one. Eurogamer updated its ethics policy. Which is very cool, but hardly noteworthy, since it's not our first ethics update victory thus far(though, as usual, they don't mention GG). What it has that makes it a big deal, is this:
Quote:
We also offer anyone mentioned in a story a right of reply. If you feel you or your company has been misrepresented or wish to expand on a story please contact the editors.
The reason this is a big deal to many in GG is that it comes right on the heels of VG247's refusal to allow developer Mark Kern to respond to an article about him that strongly mis-characterized him. Which is something a number of us have been really ticked off about.

Inb4 "Pandering, doesn't mean anything, etc."

Edit: And here's your dose of #fullMcIntosh for the day.

I was gonna edit this into the older post, but I think it deserves its own.

The latest charity some of us are trying to help: ICYMI, officer dies in shoot out at a Game Stop. He was there to buy his 9yo a game for the kid's birthday when two men rushed in to rob the place. He laid down his life to protect gamers. Let's help out his family.

It's only been a few hours. Give it a little time. We didn't fund the sea lion until the last minute either. Personally, I'm broke til payday due to car repairs, but we have a bit of time left on it. Edit: Also, I think the **** star we helped out(some bad things happened to her) set back quite a few folks a fair bit. So I wouldn't be surprised if it takes a bit before it really gets going.

There's a new petition calling for GG to be investigated by the FBI. Based on what I've seen, we in GG have absolutely no problem with that.

Edit: Spotted a grammar error.

Then you're all retarded. With the number of people involved in this, there's bound to be someone getting nailed for something by the FBI and you will all be painted by general perception as being one and the same.

As if we're not already being painted with that brush? Better to get rid of those who would do things like that.

Alright, before you end up hearing about the "new threats on Anita Sarkeesian's Life" from CNN, you can say you read it here first.

Edit: Also, it seems that Game Stop is processing donations to the family of fallen officer Robert Wilson III. Not sure if that will be done through the same place as the link above. Saw a number of people mention having donated at their local Game Stops.

Brian Williams and Brett Larson have already booked the helicopter to cover the Sarkeesian kidnapping.

Sarkeesian was kidnapped but refuses to be rescued because that'd be promoting the "rescued princess" trope. #GAMERGATELULZ

How is she in a position to refuse rescuers if she's kidnapped? If she's in a position to refuse rescuers, wouldn't she also be in a position to refuse kidnappers and just leave?

I refuse to read the article, so I suppose it could be answered in there...

It's (for certain definitions thereof) satire. The site appears to be a poor man's Kotaku-meets-Onion sort of thing.
