I would go with the latter. I would consider a **** star as a s3x-worker. Theoretically, they are the same, but they are technically different by law.

Edit: I would also classify a stripper as a s3x-worker. That is definitely different than a prostitute by definition. Note: I have not took the time to formally look up "s3x-worker".
