Dear Dragoons and Paladins of BismarckFollow

My last party was roughly 4.8k in a bit over an hour, with the bard in my party disconnected for a good 30 minutes of that. This happened no less than fifteen minutes ago. I was 4.8k until level 61, and I'm now sitting on a lovely 22 exp buffer into 61.

This includes the time it took for me to guide two members up to Delkfutt's Upper because they didn't have their keys, and includes a five minute wc break after the first half hour.

Party setup was BRD, WHM, NIN, SMN, WAR, DRK.

As I said. Not hard to do with the parties I join.

I partied the other day for nine hours and got on average 45,000 exp. 45,000 divided by nine is what? 5,000 you say? Awesome. Setup there was BRD, WHM, SMN, WAR, RNG(and MNK for the latter half of the party).

Settling for the horrible parties I mentioned where you get 2k exp per hour is just pathetic, in my opinion.


EDIT: Last good party I had on RDM was a 3xMNK party in King Ranperre's Tomb. Corpse, Mzm, Hulken, Hellfire, Lupine, and Myself. 30k exp in three hours.

Last good party I had on WHM was Tuesday, the aforementioned 45k party. Setup was Prawneh, WAR, Johndorn NIN, myself WHM, Torch BRD, Drako SMN, Venten as RNG and later on when Venten left, Xmpl as MNK(excellent MNK, by the way.)

So you work for the first 10 seconds of the fight and then AFK. We don't need another Aphrasia on these forums so please keep these posts to yourself instead of trying to start drama. I can bet you that you'll still get invites like you so claim regardless since only a small portion of Bismarck actually reads these forums.

The "no dragoon" KFCC puts on his search comment. Also he tends to leave party when a drg is present. I told him many times that dragoons are people too. They have real feelings and put pants on two legs at a time like everyone else and shouldn't be treated like some kind of plague. I think we should put KFCC on the **** player list.

I'm not out to 'level level level'. But when I'm lfg, I'm not going to grill the guy inviting me, and I'm *especially* not going to refuse to party with a particular job. A particular person, yes, there are a couple of them I wouldn't party with. There are some party setups that I don't feel are 'teh awesomes xxxburn pt woot'.

I feel that the people who b*tch and complain, refuse to party with anything other than Fisher-Price Free Experience Points parties, and get haughty and arrogant with other players (especially on the basis of job!) are part of why levelling is such a pain in the **** sometimes.

If the Japanese players taught us nothing, they should have taught us that you can make next to anything work if you're willing to try. Paladins are tanks; you're just going to have to accept that sometimes, parties are tanked by Paladins. Yes, a NIN is a free ride for a WHM as long as he's a good one. A Paladin is not; you actually have to heal the guy. I actually have to Refresh him. But that's my job. :/ I'm not going to cry about it.

Bad parties aren't caused by certain jobs, they're caused by certain people. End of story.

Yeah, that's why I chose the busiest job in the game as my first job to 75, right? That's why to this day, I continue to go out of my way to help people, to help cure on Gods and Kirin, and all around be the most helpful person in-game I can be, right?

That's why every day, I ask if anybody needs me, and I sit in Lower Jeuno joining random pickup parties for AF, solo darkspark fights, Genkai, and the likes, right? Because I don't want to do anything?

Get over yourself. I don't want to party with Paladins and Dragoons because they are, on the whole, from my personal experience, absolute morons and they don't know how to do THEIR jobs correctly, not vice versa.

I have no qualms with healing and doing status cures. I love it. Why else would I have chosen WHM? I'm not trying to get an easy ticket to 75, thanks. I'm trying to *gasp!* have fun playing the game.

Honestly though. I love it that you're dating me down for this, I really do. I post my opinion on Dragoon and Paladin in a very nice, non-flaming fashion. I ask you nicely to stop inviting me to your parties because I simply do not want to party with you, as I don't find it fun. People start to flame me, yet when I retaliate, I'm the one rated down. It's fantastic, really. By all means, rate me down more. So much for having the right to an opinion.

There are crappy people that play every job. But no jobs stand out as much as Paladin and Dragoon.

But when I'm on WHM, I don't get invited to parties with WHMs, do I? I don't get invited to RDM parties on RDM, do I? I don't have to party with them, so they're not of any concern to me. However, I do get invites from Paladins, and I do get invites from Dragoons, at an astounding rate. And e v e r y single one has been bad, barring the few I mentioned.

I've had PLDs that refuse to heal themselves, don't voke after the first voke, constantly spam for refresh or haste the second it drops. I've had Dragoons that don't know the meaning of the phrase "trick partner", that are too stupid to put away their pet in an area where two AoEs will kill it, then spam for Cures to full so they can heal their pet, only to have it die in the next battle.

Please, keep in mind this isn't just blind prejudice. This is actual, factual experience speaking here, and I asked NICELY to please not invite me. It's not a hard concept to grasp. I honestly do not care if you think you're a good paladin/dragoon or not. I've had way too many bad experiences, and I choose to end them before they start up again.



Yes, when played correctly, Red Mage is tied with Bard for the busiest job in the game. What does RNG do? Shoot arrows? Skillchain? Pull? That's about it. However I cure, haste, debuff, magic burst, sleep adds, refresh, etc. And I'm expected to do it, just like you're expected to skillchain, shoot arrows, pull, etc.


You people have turned a plea into a barbeque. It's no wonder this forum is the laughingstock of just about everybody I talk to. I give examples as to why I do not want to take part in something, and I get flamed for it. Well, congratufuc[/i]kin' lations, folks. I hope you're happy.

It was a plea lined with sheer arrogance and generalized the entirety of the Dragoon and Paladin population. *ANY* board on this site and probably any other site would be dousing you in flames right now, it's not just this board.

If you're gonna ***** so much about it, why not make your own parties? I've been told by many people that i'm a good PLD. But to have someone refuse to join a PT i'm in, because they're naive..is just childish. Dont generalize all PLD, and DRK, just because you've had some bad encounters, and try to start trouble by posting it in here. Act your age kid. Why dont YOU try being a PLD, and see how hard it is to play, when you have 2 rng's SCing, and BLM MB. Not very easy. So please, stop being an idiot. I dont care what your highest lvl is.
