Dont steal from Beastmasters.Follow

I expect this from sellers. But please, just because a mob turns yellow while a BST is fighting it, doesnt give you the right to claim it. If I dont claim the NM, I dont sit near it like a vulture waiting for the person to die or mob to unclaim. I /cheer them on.

Most of them are JP. It sickens me to watch a mob that I camped for hours, be stolen mid-battle cause you're a sore loser.

Why am I posting this? Because I camped Wyvernpoacher in hopes of getting myself an O-bow. Twice the NM has been stolen from me. 1 from the sellers from FinalfantasyXl LS. 2 from these JP people:

Hiromin ; Kosukabe ; Dunan ; Bartasar ( another 2 I forgot )

Watch out for these guys. They are losers and shouldnt be given the time of day. I've never stolen an NM from someone, so why do I get **** on?

Sorry for the rant.

PS: Their reply to me when I asked why they stole it from me was "{That's too bad.}^^" Not cool...

That is why I'm scared to death to fight any NMs with my BST if I get to the level where I can.

Too many people in game lack common courtesy.

bst master are the last I would try to steal from, they can be pretty malicious if they want to be.

Damn, sorry to hear that Gelly. I don't mind help you out next time, maybe I can try keeping Dia on the NM so it won't go unclaimed? Ask the LS for help, you know I'll help you out man ^^

Must be a karma thing... I think we all fought some BSTs ex-pet once, and gotten crappy or no exp for an IT.
Ofcourse, it's still a lousy thing to claim the NM a BST is fighting.

I think it's a complicated problem to solve for SE, and as it causes conflicts only on a few occasions, it doesn't have high priority.

Good lord. I'm sorry babe. ><

I know this is pretty useless advice, but you might try leveling another job to fight NMs...in my limited experience with BST I know very well what you're talking about, and how unavoidable it is.

I'm sorry it happened, NMs and HNMs seem to be the nastiest games going. ; ;

SE wont fix the claim situation. Yes it is courtesy to wait till someone is dead, but it isnt stealing by the rules of the TOS if the target goes unclaimed. Most people will find it rude to such a thing, but many just go by the if it blinks take it. VadaVada was trying to do a thf kill on Serket a couple days ago and they all disenaged but before the thf took aggro it went white and gilsellers claimed it at 1% and killed it. Kinda sad really. What sucks is if you MPK someone who takes a mob off you, than your in the wrong and can be sent to jail.......

While killing Acha D'Armas mob (it was a 20 min fight) the mob only went unclaimed once. Usually right when i grab another pet he goes yellow.

I know there's a grace period, but it's very short...like, 3-5 seconds. Not really enough time for you to Charm new pet, Fight on old NM and for the pet to take the swing before it goes yellow, even if just for a brief moment. And I think using Leave at all completely messes that up, because I know non-NMs have turned yellow for a second when I use Leave but before I actually swing my axe for the finishing blow.

Honestly, you can't expect human decency, we can only hope some day SE actually fixes something they've known about for a long time, since they had to patch that far-too-short grace period in the first place, they could try patching it to give you enough time to actually hold the claim, and fix Leave ******** up any grace period existing at all.

If you still need this guy Gelly, give me a tell ingame and I'll camp him with you. I'm 62, but I have Stoneskin and can sub NIN for Utsu, just to prevent this from happening again, I'll keep swinging on him, and balance pet hate so I don't go dyin' on you.

I don't need the drop, so no worries there, but I know what it's like to camp for something forever and then lose it. ><

(Dune Widow, six hours, RNG nabs it and gets the drop! ><)

I'm sorry to hear that Gelly...there have always been rude ppl in this game but greed is such an ugly
thing and to reply like they did is just terrible. SE needs to look into this. It's not right that a mob can
get claimed out from under your nose like that.

Actually, the color of the mob's name only turned yellow on you once. There were several moments the mob could have been voked/stolen each time you switch pets or got out of range when you had hate (or disengaged the mob which I doubt you did).

There's a bit of lag on the name color change, and there are brief moments where red does not mean claimed.

I've had Amemit and Aquarius stolen a couple times, when the name stayed red, but a gil farmer was spamming voke. The name simply goes red --> purple. Nothing you can do if you're bst and chaining pets against the mob. Best bet is to accept the risk and try anyways, throw pets at it in a crowded 'aggy' area, or don't accept the risk and use your beastly-ness to make gil other ways (bcnms, high-end farming, etc).

If it's a highly sought rare/ex item you're after, then safest way to camp it is in a full PT that can handle the NM.

I know it sucks, but bst offers enough benefits to make up for the claim issues. =)

Cast my, "that sucks" vote in there.

Something I just thought of...........

Pet - leave.

NM - charm bind.

Run like hell for 15sec before charming new pet.

As you can get off a charm before it name goes yellow if fast enough, would this work? (Probally not if dia doesn't do it after leave) I've always played by the "use leave, lose claim" rule and havn't tried this myself, could be a waste if time.........

Sorry if this doesn't sound right, posting when sleepy is never a good idea.
