it's real, it's on playonline too. It's cool cause we'll get a whole new bunch of people coming in. And i might switch over from pc if the graphics are any better.

I don't think this will bring in nearly the amount of gamers SE thinks. Especially if Xbox players have to pay the Xbox Live fee right alongside FFXI's fees. That's a LOT of money for an already expensive game.

And let's be honest, lack of accessibility is not what's making people quit this game. If SE doesn't start adding more end-game content and making solo play more feasible, then nothing will be solved. It just seems to me they're ignoring the real problem and trying to bring in new people who have no idea what they're in for.

And I suggest we all pray to God, Altana, whomever, that they don't allow voice chat. Think, if you will, people literally shouting for help in Low Jeuno.

well with the xbox 360 they intend to do 2 different xbox live plans, gold and silver. Gold is the same as it is now, silver is you get the subscribtion but you can play free, only on week ends tho (that's what i heard may be wrong ^^; ), i can imagine how this is gonna be on weekends .... /shivers. but hey this is still "on the table" so who knows wha they may think of.

Sraphimhunter made a very good point about the xBox Live subscription fees, tacked onto the PlayOnline fees. That could quickly lead to a very expensive situation... $12.95 a month for the base fee, plus $3 for my mules, and the xBox Live fee (dunno what it is, but i thought i heard 6 Bucks a month... it's a Guess), and we're looking at $21.95 just in monthly fees. add in the xbox live starter kit and the price of the game it self, and ... dang.

^^ I still think i might get it though. >:) i like my xbox (when ever i might get it...).

From my understanding, there will be the standard xbox live free, but the ffxi subscription fee will be cheaper cause of it say 5 dollars. So everyone ends up paying the same amount.

As far as the live chat goes, i read that SE doesn't want to do live chat. They claim it would be to hard to control harassment.

I dunno we'll just have to wait and see. God im so excited!

I kinda doubt this. I don't know if most of you are aware of this, but as far as accounts go, right now there is no difference between a PS2 account and a PC account. I started playing at the PS2 release of FFXI simply because my laptop sucks. Since then, I bought a halfway decent PC that could run FFXI. I just borrowd my friend's install disks and used my content ID and password from the PS2 version to register. I can now run my same account that I pay $15/mo (with mules) on either my PS2 or my PC depending on what I'm doing (Fishing is much better on PS2 IMO). So the only way that they could charge $5 less is to make the accounts Xbox onry.
