Hey,

I quit FFXI and am going to cancel my accounts.

I'm not sure who is still playing, but I am going to divy out my treasure and then sell my chars.

I have like 4.5 mil gil, a healing staff, a vermillion cloak, and some nice twink gear on Talemont my THF (aka those boots from that stupid camp outside of Bastok).

As you may notice on my signature, I have moved to World of Warcraft on Stormreaver. FFXI was just missing too much for me, for one the ability to Solo. I am leveling like mad on WoW because I can solo. Also, I was missing the PvP element, so I joined a PvP server. Owning horde is great ^^

I'm sorry I couldn't stay around, but FFXI is just too much of a timesink for me. Plus after reading the HNM LS crap, it just isn't worth the trouble. And seriously, who the f*ck wants to level 75 + 37 levels and have to compete for spawns with cheaters? I can level 60 levels by myself with no stupid parties and then raid instanced dungeons with my guild with us just concentrating on strategy and not have to worry about the mob turning yellow and some other LS getting it.

So, there will be no talking me out of this =\ I'm having an awesome time on WoW. If you guys (my LS) wants to head on over, just give me a /tell

Ciao.

It's a shame to lose you, Tweed. You were one of the few players who had my full respect. Who knows, we may meet someday in WoW. Be on the look-out for any characters named Theophany. ;)

Dude, I was hitting on Talemont many months ago in Windy! I remember, you told me that you were a guy.

WoW is great for soloing and the PvP is free, but many are complaining that it's TOO open. Because of the honor system, people are getting ganked and farmed for honor points. For me, soloing has gotten a lot harder since I'm 55, and 60s want those PvP ranks. Take note that you can get honor off people ten levels lower, I believe even lower is possible.

And honor system or not, ganking is everywhere. I'm talking about bored level 60s killing people in level 20 zones.

While many FFXI players have moved to WoW, lots of WoW players have moved to Guild Wars for its organized 5vs5 and 8vs8 arena-style PvP : /

------

I actually wanted to level up my White Mage and eventually meet Tweedius someday (mostly because Talemont was a neat fellow, and you had an anabukin-chan icon), but it's obviously not possible anymore. If you're interested in chatting more on WoW or anything, lemme know or hit me up on AIM: Circle Mailorder

hope to talk to ya -.-

Thanks all ; ;

I will definately miss everyone from FFXI that I met, all were good people, even Hiptaru heh.

The openness of the PvP system on PvP servers is why I love it, my roots in MMORPGs is PvP and I love it. Only the strong survive (unless they hide in instances).

Good luck everyone, and I'll get around to divying out my nice **** to my LS mates. Canceled Talemont's account, but Tweed's is active, may just give away to the LS Panzer so you guys can have my Clothcrafting ability, I'd hate it to go to waste after all that work.

That is going to be in my Signature. I never once got to hang with you in game.. And likewise for you. For some reason we got off on the wrong foot. I Won't miss you, because i know you are going to still be posting here on the FFXI Forums. You are A god amongst men, one of the few..

Help to pop in your head from time to time you can't.
hmm.. yes..
Tired from WoW you will become.
For it is a path to the Dark Side..

See ya around Bro!

>< I just found out about this today!!! Sorry I missed the chance to send ya off Tweed. I finally was able to come back to the game only to find out you had left. Thanks for everything man! You were one of the few people I have met in-game that was worth remembering. FFXI, Bismarck specifically, has lost a good player. I still have the stuff you synthed for me, too bad I couldn't get you to autograph it or something lol. Good Luck with WOW and everything else in life (yes RL... I have pictures to remember what that was like ^^) Thanks again for everything man!

Smiley: bowdown Tweed... the best damn LinkShell Commander-in-Chief I ever had (the only one too come to think of it)

please don't, just think of the advantage gilsellers get when they can get their hands on a good account, plus do you really want your name dragged through the mud based on what they do with it?
