Monsters:
Barbatos (FF10)
Bashura (FF10)
Basilisk (FF10)
Chimera (FF10)
Iron Giant (FF8)

Areas:
Graveyard type map (Not eldieme)
Hive type map (has insect-type monsters)

Features:
Option to view all game cutscenes in one place
Option to change title from one place

I'll add more but thought this would be a good start.

Nice subject. I'll have to go back to the other FF's to see what I miss. I'm sure there is some stuff in 7 I'd like to see.

I like that idea of the hive. As a matter of fact, this should be an area you can access from the Quicksand Caves. Perhaps giving us a glimpse of the homeland of the Antican Empire.

Another major city would be nice, or some smaller towns that don't require me to get through the Promys to get to. Well, here's to hoping that they expand the world more whenever they do the next expansion.

---VICE CITY---

<Sioux> BUHAHAHAHAHAHA

....

Seriously though...I agree with the graveyard map. Eldieme is pretty crappy as a cemetary...god, can you imagine attending a funeral in Eldieme?
"Yeah, we're in here burying Grandma, Uncle Roy's Sneak wore off, so now we're interring him in here too."

I think they should have at least one low-level 'Dynamis' map, just a city full of mobs. A ruin maybe, a deserted city...a few survivors here and there that you could buy Rock Salt from...they could spin a really good storyline out of a map like that, IMO.

Gunblade (FF8)

This isn't really from other FFs, but it would be neat to see the actual capes or back armor that the characters wear.

LMAO

Definitely some kinda Golden Saucer area with a regulated Casino, chocobo racing (actual PCs riding choco's, racing against each-other) and some type of arena where players could duel and people could watch.

Yea, that's about it,

They don't have Karry (Maralith) the Fiend of Fire in this game. They added the Lich Kraken and Tiamat but no Fire fiend. It be cool to see a monster with 6 swords!

Also with they had Atama and Atama Weapon with his awesome AOEs from FF6 (FF3 US).

They should have also the 8 elemental dragons too!

I want the T-Rex's from the forests of FF8 back.

Wouldn't that be awesome?

Player A: Hey, is that a dragon over there?
Player B: I don't think so, it doesn't have wings...
Player A: Hey, what's it doing to that shee... OH MY GOD!
Player B: Since when could mobs eat EACHOTHER!
Player A: More like when did they program decapitation in this game. D:
Player B: I think i'm going to be sick...
Player C: OMGZ PROVOK <t>.
Player A&B: (Run Away!)

Iron Giant (FF8)

Hell yes. Iron giants have been in enough FF games, they should get a spot in this one.

What I really want in FFXI are Moombas though. <3

I assumed when I started that since Bastok was the on the brink of a technology age, that there would be more of an industrious feel to that area. Much like the city in FFVII, I'd like to see a zone created with an industrial tone. It could fit in if it was spun the right way....

*DISCLAIMER* I was REALLY bored at work... :)

As miners became more efficient in their collection of raw materials, Bastok was in dire need of a new refinery method capable of handling much higher ore loads. The rich and powerful entrepreneurs and leaders of Bastok formed a council to resolve this very issue. They determined that using powerful new refinery methods developed by Cid, they could increase the refinery proficiency by 68% and exceed the demand for processed ore.

However, the technology came with a problem. The planned factory was too large to place within the city limits of Bastok and theoretically could emit toxin hazardous to the delicate ecosystem in Gustaberg. There was a debatable solution…

During the age of Beasts, the Galka massive city in Kuztoz fell under numerous attacks by the vicious Antica. As the Antica attacks strengthened, the Galka Chieftan ordered all Galka not of age to fight to take refuge on the Zepwell Islet, a small island off the northeastern coast of Kuzotz, until the battle was won. This proved to be a grave mistake.

The Antica were more cunning then the Galka ever imagined. Thousands of Antica tunneled through the ocean and emerged on the Zepwell Islet. They were met with very little resistance as they mercilessly decimated the Galka youth.

The Galka's morale was crushed by this event. It was at this point they decided to flee for the sake of their race. Luckily, they discovered Korroloka Tunnel and fled to safety. They never spoke of the events that occurred on Zepwell Islet. It was only by accident that the Zepwell Islet was rediscovered and its story revealed.

Oggbi, an aging alcoholic Galka, was overheard by President Karst, rambling about the trapped souls on the Zepwell Islet. Typically, President Karst would dismiss any comments from Oggbi but it seemed that little Gumbah was doing his best to quiet the drunken Galka. President Karst determined that there must be some merit to Oggbi's comments, so he sent a small scouting team to try and locate the island.

When the team returned, successfully locating the Zepwell Islet, President Karst immediately proposed the island to be the site of new refinery. This outraged the Galka, who promised not to help with the construction on Zepwell Islet if it were approved. In his arrogance, President Karst approved his own proposal and construction on the Zepwell Islet began.

With a team completely consisting of Hume's, work on the refinery was slow. The Galka's powerful physique was greatly missed. The team had no choice but to move on as best they could. Day and night, workers tirelessly cleared out the semi-tropical terrain to make way for a new foundation.

After 3 years, the project, which was estimated to be complete in two years, was only halfway complete. It was at this point all contact was lost with the construction team. President Karst ordered another scout team to investigate the island. Days went by with no report from the team. Once word got around Bastok, no one dared venture to the Zepwell Islet in fear of the unknown…

President Karst, now desperate for answers, reluctantly offered a reward to any adventure who can shed light on the recent disappearances. An island… part machine, part tropical forest… shrouded in ghosts from the past… is there an adventurer in Vana'diel bold enough to search for answers?

This could lead to an expansion area, possibly involved in new Rank Missions if they ever raised the rank above 10. The island could be a partially constructed refinery and a dense tropical forest. I'm not sure what kind of mobs could be there, probably some kind of new ghost mob and maybe some of those T-rex's ~.^)b It could also have a zone that is somewhat graveyard-like to appease those people who want that kind of zone too. ^.^

Connections could be a tunnel in Quicksand Caves and later (maybe through a quest?) a boat/ferry from Bastok.

Tyrinis, that is an excellent idea. I like that a lot, because it adds another area, more storyline, and attempts to make more missions, therefore bringing more to the game.

I think that the hive idea could possible play into that. Further along on the Bastok missions, perhaps go into the Antican Empire and do things there as well. Even make an Antican HNM, like they have for the Orcs, Yags, and Quadav. (They're might be an Antican "god" already, I have no idea).

Excellent idea though. Rate up.

There is.

There's also a Tonberry "God" and a Sahagin "God". They're not particularly powerful, but they're all 24 hour pops just like the other beastmen gods.

OT: I don't particularly want any new mobs from old games introduced.... but I would like different character models for existing mobs. (Okay, I lied. Maybe some basilisk/anocondaur mobs. Y'know, big snakes. <3)

A place for mini-games like in FF7, so you could do something while you're LFGing or just flat out bored.

Antican Consul is a great HNM with a very nice GAxe reward, but you have to ask...where's the queen? :) I think that leaves room to expand on with an extra large Queen HNM (Serket sized) :D

I also think they should add at least two new models per race, even though you probably couldn't change models...at least there would be less "ME"'s running around. ~.^

I would like to see DoomGazor the magicite attack the airship like in final fantasy 3.

Or instead of mimic chest a random NM lol.

That huge hundred floor Kefka's tower and the dead city with where you get Edgar's chain saw.

And yes i second the golden saucer we need little fun not just quest and mission and duels.
