Well, i am sure most of you know of the casinos that go around, and what a big scam most of them can be, but everybody knows that Hiptaru's Casino will never refuse a bet, and will always pay out, even when I lose hundreds of thousands of gil in one roll..
Well last night, a player by the name of Firestarter won about 4.4 million gil from my Casino, and i just thought that he deserved a huge Congratulations for being the only person on the server so far to either have the balls, or just plain drunken stupor to press his luck, and come out on top.
So here is to you Firestarter! Enjoy your 4.4 million, and start a craft or something, just dont go blowing it on other Casinos! You might not be as lucky next time!!!

I don't know if Firestarter posts here, but I think is Woodworking skill is around 80, so I'm sure this is a godsend for him (given your mention of starting a craft).
Yea woodworking starts getting expensive lv59+. Not nearly as expensive as some other crafts but post-70 but you're pretty much S.O.L. (no, not me ^^;) unless you're a fisherman and/or have Lu Shang's.
Anyway, I'm glad that someone won that amount of gil from a Casino. Not because I hate Hip or anything but because it goes to show that casino's aren't all bad. It's a gamble and players are quick to point the finger at the casino runners instead of themselves when they lose gil, since no one put a Hellfire to their head, forcing them to play.
Grats to Firestarter and props to Hip for once again being a stand-up guy for knowing when he's beat and making light of it ~.^

yes my friends b'day was last night and we had been out drinking. when i got home from the bar i was standing around jeuno lfg and saw hiptaru shouting about his casino. well after leaving the bar i had went to the local amvets where a poker game is held every friday night but, they didnt have it because the race is in town and everyone was out getting drunk and stuff like that (i live about 15 min from talladega). well i saw his casino and it awoken my itch to gamble. so i went over to him and bet 900k, and rolled a 717ish. i thought i had lost, be it that i was pretty drunk, i was thinking i had to have a 800 +. then he told me i won and gave me 1.8mil. so i went along my way and he told me i was a smart man for quitting while i was ahead.
well about 15 min later after seeing that my 900k wouldnt buy me much that i needed, ecept maybe some winged boots for my rng or a level and a half or so of woodworking i decided to buck the tides again. i bet 1.5mil that time and lost, which put me down 600k. now i was a little taken back at this and i immediatly clicked trade again and bet 2million (i had 3mil gil left from selling my lushangs so this was a major portion of my bank roll). then i quickly did a /random and rolled a 900+. poor hiptaru bless his tarutaru soul promptly clicked trade and put 6mil gil in the trade window. i decided then to go ahead and walk away.
and hip i'll try to spend it wisely, *.~ this may be able to get my woodworking from 88 up to around 94, maybe more if im lucky. then again i could take some of the sub crafts i need to 60 for this amount of gil. thanks a ton.

yeah i think most casino runners would have alt+tab before i even got a chance to random.
like that time daciont alt+tab when i bet 100k. if the fool would have wated 15min he could have made a killing off me. gready ******* eat your heart out.

I won like 200k from Hip one night in Eldeime while farming Paper for g1. Drinking and gambling are bad. Of course I don have the luxury of walking away as they were in my PT. SO eventually over the course of the night he won most, if not all of it back...
