Hey. I quit FFXI, but i may want to get back into it a little bit.
I played on Odin *since november of pc release*. and i quit a few months ago. I would like to know how the ecomony is, how leveling goes, mob avail, and if people are nice.
My friend Areilos (i cant spell) plays on this server... so i should ask him. but i want to get more than one opinion.

Well there is gil farmers but what server dont have them lol.
Alot of nice people play some are good friends i been playing about 2 years and i stick with my friends stuff is high priced
but nothing bcnm or other things cant getcha like sniper rings are 600k-700k but you do bcnm 20 astral rings few of them should sell get you what you need. Ummm first time explaining the server so please bear with me lol im sure others will reply tell you the same.

Plenty of nice people around apart from a few rotten apples (/wave Hoodlum, Killuminati, Rustymetal). Prices tend to change a lot which can be both positive and negative. Mobs available? Depends on what you want as a mob, there are mobs farmed like hell by the gilfarmers, but there are also plenty of others left to make some money with though ^^

I was a thief on Odin.. so I will most likely be a thief upon return (though I plan to get war to 20ish and do subjob.. makes poor thief so much easier in early stages)
Mob avail in following zones
Dunes
Quffim (i know of the beetle sub ^^)
kazham (including around grotto zone)
citadel
Crawlers
Quicksands
Kuftal
valley of sorrows (and the zone before it.. which name i cant remember)
Boyada (including crabs, crawlers, and flies)
Ozono Maze
also, party availibility, and how likely ppl are to help with annoying quests.. such as
Rank 3 mission, shadow lord, Genkai 1, etc.

All I can say is, don't judge this server by the posts here. There may be some flavorful posts lately, but they truly are the minority. They're just the loudest.

well since i sold off my account I have to buy a new game.
I want to go ps2 this time, *i was pc* mainly because of hard drive space.. and terrible things ive experienecd with my computer constatnly crashing
but my internet is in another room, and i cant easily access a rotue to my room.
will i be able to use a wireless router with a ps2?

Yeah you can go wireless connection on ps2.. Last time I checked the price to the part was about $80US, not sure about it now.. I was thinking of doing this myself but never got around to it yet. Since my pc is right next to my ps2.
