Kalani i actually WASNT thinking about you at the time.. my mind tends to go blank when i think of ppl to ask for help and i was actually thinking more along the lines of a thf i know >.> . .. but no, you probably wouldnt have come either under the same rules of "its an HNM so ic ant help you".. ive never once thought of you as actually being a "HNM" or "AD" member cause your alot cooler than that >.> weve done alot together and im thankful for those times.. :\ but its not to say youd have come helped either.. even if you were the one i was talking about.. sadly thats the truth.. however id at least expect a deacent answer and not "rules"

ya know i totally understand stuff like "dont have 2 HNM pearls" and "dont change pearls to camp aganist eachother".. tahts just common sense.. i mean how the hell would you work being in like AD and lunies at once? youd camp aganist eachother and ppl would hate YOU the most cause your in both.. thats 100% rational and reasonable

but what i dont understand and i cant possibly fathom is something like Charybdis... it drops a sword.. a beatiful perfect little piece of killing id like to get my hands on and have ready for when i hit 70 this week.. no one was camping.. not a single soul.. as ive stated i was the only one there the entire time.. (also my appoligizes to tres and the others with me who all died trying their hardest to get my blade >.< i apprecaite those deaths more than if i had gotten teh sword itself so you know).. so why? why do i have to have "its rules" thrown at me as if its some sort of "validation" towards "were not helping you!"

i dont carea bout HNMs or Gods (btw i dont WANT a kirins pole ^.^ i have a set of gear inmind that .. i believe.. comes from mostly the less hard to kill things that drop ABJs) or hell even Dynamis at times (though i do go cause i want my af2 >.>).. what i DO care about is friends that ive known since my first day telling me "i cant even see if anyone would WANT to help you for the simple fact its aganist rules".. now the one who told me this did give me a name to turn to, but unfortunately they werent on at hte time v.v

im not really pissed at the HNM shells themselves.. youll have to forgive the fact i have a temper :\ and i posted all that outta just pure spite and rage... but i do have a problem with its leaders and their rules and regulations (and the greedy greedy selfish ppl.. kalani working for yourself is fine.. its when greed is greater than everything else that its a problem). I see it as fit that a LS is a group of ppl who work together, play together, camp together, do w/e together.. thats fine.. if your in it for gil.. w/e, so be it.. if your in it for the items.. thats grand to.. go for the items.. but when it comes down to things like, hey no ones camping this NM at all.. its just sitting there doing nothing.. this rdm would LOVE that sword.. i know him, ive lvled with him, weve talked alot, why shouldnt i get him some help? i mean after all we are friends ya know?.. but instead your rules and obligations dictate that you blow me off and ignored my request just pains me more than you know

i think im really just pissed at a certain thf i know .. i think shes in IRON.. i dont so much mind the other 2-3 ppl that told me no as much as i do her.. for all the bullcrap ive done for her and i get told "haha.. i woulda had to say no to.. sorry but rules > you"...

i want to know where this gaul comes from in you people? for all the crap i do.. the help i offer.. even if its not much i offer it none the less and its there for ppl to take whenever they choose to (well friends to take neways)... but for it all, all i get in return is "cant help.. dont care.. bye" -.-

EDIT: oh and lanzer.. when you see a thf wearing a scropion harness, sniper rings, af gloves and pants, HQ back belt, HQ daggers and hard to get daggers, HQ bows.. basically when you see this friggin elite thf camping smething aganist you.. something they no longer need or have gotten so many times its not funny anymore, and you just want the damn pin so you can level thf w/o asses like himself saying "HAHA! YOU SUX J00 NOOB! GO GET A HAIRPIN!"... its just annoying as ****.... as for the shouts.. yeah im annoyed as hell when ppl ask me to level with them and i DONT know them and im not seeking.. or when i sit for 6 hours lfg as a thf or drk because ppl like to run their mouths about me

I really think people in AD care much about helping/not helping outsiders with Joyeuse since I've seen it happens many times. ONe thing is that having just one friend in an HNM LS for chary really wouldn't really do you any good. What you are trying to get at is why won't other members of that said HNM LS go along and help you for the sakes of their LS member, and well things just don't work like that. I'm sure your friend would've gladly helped but you are basically implying that he should solicite help from other HIgh levels in that LS (who aren't friendly with you) to get you your joyeuse.

As for it being correct... well, as you know, I live with someone who is in an HNM LS, his screen right next to mine... (also have a friend I've known for years who is in another one)
I don't know if that gives me a better understand of what is going on (I like to think it does), but I can't agree 100%. Of course there is ******** going on. That holds true for pretty much any relationship/organisation/etc, though. I can only think of one HNM shell that I have absolutely no respect for, but I don't know a single person in it, so, who knows...

As for people setting aside their old friendships, that too is bound to happen in certain cases, but not all situations where a friend cannot help should be seen as such.
AF hunts, especially coffers, I believe is most often cited as an example of tedious stuff higher level people are fed up of helping with. If HNM people forget their friends, that should be the *last* thing they are willing to do for their lower level friends, is it not ? Why is it, then, that I could name a number of people from AD and BS (together ! because people do not always forget the shell they called home so easily) who have recently helped, a number of MystBattalion members with a number of AF key hunts ?...


Anyways, I'm babbling, again. I understand that this made you pissy, but I think this anger thing blew it out of proportion...
I don't know if the people you asked were supposed to help their shell with something else at the time.
I don't know if they were unsure of the details of their shell's rules and were just being cautious/paranoid.
I don't know if they are just asses.



For instance, take this Lanzer person, whom I don't know... the way he sees it/described it makes you look like a selfish prick with a temper. Add in your details about that other guy that was camping against you, and not so much anymore... but then again, maybe that "uber" guy was camping it for a friend, too.
Maybe your friends who let you down might have stuff to add, too...
Anger seldom pays off... asking does, though!

Exactly how many times do we have to tell you people, HNM linkshells DON'T MAKE YOU RICH. There are exceptions (I've only encountered one HNMls with the sell-everything/split policy). You see all that awesome gear several members wear.. Guess what, it's rare/ex. We didn't buy it, we worked for it. Others worked for it. Some of the most broke people I know are in HNM linkshells.



Ruining it because people won't help you? Because we agree to abide by certain rules. You don't like it, tough sh[i][/i]it. You're just a brat throwing a fit because people wouldn't lay down everything to help you. End of story.

And my ultimate curiousity is why you think you have more of a right to a NM drop than someone decked out. It's survival of the fittest. If you can't keep the pace, then step down.

For anyone looking for a quick and simple to read summary of this post here it is:

You talk about people being selfish, yet what reason do you have for posting this. You didn't get something you want so you're lashing out against people who didn't/couldn't help you. Hmm, how awefully self-less of you [/sarcasm].

You don't realize that alot of people in HNM shells had to work hard to get those positions in their shells, and these shells have rules for a reason. I personally don't want to break these rules and lose something I worked hard to get. A real friend would understand that, instead of thinking it's something against them because they're not in the same shell.

The answer to this question is easy..The gil buyers raised it because it became no longer necessary to work hard for your gil as you can just go and buy it.
Now, because of that fact, the gil buyer says..hmmm..Im not worried about overpaying and jacking up future costs because I will just go buy more gil.

it wasnt so much of 'whinning' as it was a warning to anyone not in those LSs.. personally i really dont need your help.. i have other ppl i could have called on but cause of stupid sqe update i got screwd.. but big deal *shrugs*

If those people you asked really think of you as a friend that much, they could've ask their LS and try to go around the rule.

Asking a friend for help is one thing....expecting that friend to bring his HNMLS to help someone they do not know is something totally different....

And as one other person has mentioned: IF AN HNMLS DID COME TO HELP, WOULD YOU HAVE BEEN OK WITH THEIR MEMBERS LOTTING IF THEY NEEDED IT?...


and whether you care or not(which I know you say you don't)...you will not, and cannot, experience this game to it's fullest without an HNMLS...you have effectively ruined your chances of ever experiencing that simply because you cannot control your temper...by the way, if your LS ever decided to dive into the HNM scene, I'm more than curious what kind of assbackwards rule system you would try to implement....

And a note about HNMLS members being "selfish"...every person that plays this game is paying REAL LIFE money for it...for that reason, if I choose to be as "uber" as I possibly can or killing <insert mega boss here>, you have absolutely no right to have an opinion about it....and I can only be so lucky to work towards that mutual goal with an awesome, fun group of people I call my LS...

God...I hate posting on Alla...usually just read and leave...but I can only stand so much naive bullsh!t without saying something...
