8 hours after I started trying to download it and I'm having almost worse luck.

12 hrs later and I still can't download. Good thing I had lovely programming work to do because I'd be even more pissed than I am now.

I can't connect on either. My PS2 froze on the "Checking FFXI Version" and the PC just keeps popping up the error. I give in. I'll try tomorrow.
updated during maintenance....there was like 500-600 people on ALL evening...funny thing was 15% of people lfg all night where all friends and LS mates of mine ^^.

here it is 10:00 in the morning and i still cant get on the ****ing game! now i'm getting ERROR CODE POL-0011.... wth is that code for, never seen that one before, gave up last night trying to d/l figured i'd wait, and now i cant even get logged into POL, (t'')t SE

But, just because it works doesn't mean that it isn't blazingly slow. When I started downloading files again it said Time remaining: 1:01:00. Now? It says Time remaining: 1:11:30. Yay!!
Oh yeah, and I started an hour ago. Fun, fun. I'll probably come home from school to see it at Time remaining: 1:20:00. As much as I've enjoyed this event, enough is enough -.-

Last night i tried about 30+ times and when i started swearing at my cat i knew it was time to go outside and get some air.
Well the update works this morning but it takes 4-5 hrs for me to download and im on shaw cable =/ At this point i'd wait 100 hrs if i was garanteed it would work though >.<;

last night, i started to download it! the time says 4 hrs to wait be4 its complete but then after 40 mins remaining, that damn POL Error code came up! i got pissed! .. neways, jus wondering, do i hav to download for 4 hrs again? or do i continue what i left off last time? .. im on ps2 btw

I was stuck @ 92% complete for 12 1/2 hours......stopped it restarted it then was done in 4 minutes.....go figure...
OK my PC still can't connect but I got connected on my PS2. Try shutting down and restarting, that's what I did to get in. Unfortunately that didn't work on my PC.

Weird... I installed the update before maintenance was over and somehow it ended up working fine. Only like 400 people were on the entire server when I got on though... and I still managed to get to Oz just in time to watch Quu get claimed -_-;
