Does anyone have any clue as to how to obtain the password for these things? I searched and searched but not much I can come up with.
Current rumors are, every password is unique to the user, and that some high level rank/ZM/CoP mission gives the password to you.
Also I hear that the only thing it does is make your infinity core really last infinity times lol.

but i tried and tried for a long time to try to figure out the password, and i have come to believe.. There is none. none at all. I searched the whole entire internet for days, and even went on a tour of all of the Strange Apparatus things, and nothing.. no clues.. maybe it has something to do with missions, or something.. idk..
maybe since there are 8 letters, and 8 differnt days in vanadiel..
like i said.. i have no clue lol.

Met a jp player today with the title "Honerary Doctor, Specializing in Tonberries" After much auto-translation he told me the title waqs given by some norg quest. I figure since the apparatus' password identifies you as a doctor, maybe that quest might be helpful.
That title has nothing to do with The strange apparati. That's given by completing the Everybody's Grudge quest and making it to where you can erase your Tonberry hate.
I perused the strange apparati quite a bit in my day, and made more than a little money off them, even without the passwords.
I've managed to visit all of them, and so far the only one that hasn't responded to me is the King Ranp's tomb.
Really, I don't think the password's all that important. To be quite honest, I'd rather just get stacks upon stacks of cermet chunks and make a killing. =P

@_@ lots of high lvl talk of tornberys and appartus....speaking of tornberys just a question that has nothing to do with the original topic, what is tornbery hate?
Offtopic: Tonberry hate is what is accrued when you kill a tonberry. The more hate you have (ie, the more tonberries you kill), the more their special attack Everyone's Grudge (and Everyone's Rancor, for the higher NM Tonberries) will do.
Generally, unless you're crazy like me and try to get oneshotted by Everyone's Grudge (not rancor. Everyone's grudge. 1,145 HP in one shot = fun) it's wise to keep your hate as low as humanly possible. Hate is Universal, in that if you kill a Tonberry in one area.... all the Tonberries in the world know about it. And they'll hate you for it.
