You're actually not too far off lol... With the 'Claim NM' button.
I heard that JP's FFXI is like 2 secondsa head of ours, so camping NMs and such they actually spawn 2 seconds before we even see them...

ROFL I about pissed myself when I saw that. Rate up, and yes they do have a slightly faster connection time to the servers than us. Most of the servers are in Japan, go figure its thier game, SE just makes money off us.

It's actually fractions of a second ahead, if that anymore. The reason things spawn claimed is because people open the Job Ability menu and mash Provoke, Shadowbind, etc. That bypasses the lag from using macros or the possiblity of a mismacro. ^^;
That is Funny, too bad the artist didn't go hardcore and make it look seemlessly real.
Sorry, the spaming the JA beating macros is wrong me and a friend tested this a lot when we were bored camping and lost the claims. We tested this with, Provoke Vs. Voke Macro, Voke Vs. Shadowbind, and Voke Macro Vs. Shadowbind Macro. And with the Macro Vs. Macro it was a toss up, but macros always out claimed than JA spam. Using the menu to spam is actually slower than macro spaming since you have to go through the menus causing more time lost than 1 error message.

.....Why do people think there is a definite answer to this? There will never be a way to know for sure. Let people make their excuses for losing a claim!
