hi i'm sending a message from seraph to my bismark buds^^.
i have been a victim recently of a shihe scam on seraph of a character called DEEPWHITE. basically its putting one shihe in bazaar at 5 or 6 k and ppl foolishly buy a quantity of 99 thinking they are getting it for 5k. anyway i was dumb, and tought ****.
But its not in the spirit of the game and it also seems that she is active on bismark too.
i have since found she also uses the name xmoney or zmoney which is a style of name that is very common among a big multi-server gil selling consortium.
Be careful, and have a look at seraph forum to see what we did to a thf called xoni who hacked my friend peypey's account
thanks.

yea theres a few in jeuno.

However its not a "scam". they aren't shouting "shihei stacks for 5k /check my bazzar" they are just selling an over priced item and people are foolish enough to pay for it.

*I in no way condone this but i wouldn't call it a scam.

I list items in my bazaar at inflated prices all the time, if anyone ever bought my Red Rose for 99,999,999 gil that wouldnt make me a scammer, it would make the other person foolish.

I agree with Tse. It's no scam. People are just stupid enough to buy them for that price. Sorry to use the "S" word if you're a victim of this, but seriously, pay attention before you make a purchase.

This is why I only buy items that I know are single only from bazaar's.. Too many asshats ripping people off.

Scam? Wow - I always thought this was ignorance on the part of people trying to set up a bazaar. I figured they thought, "Hey, AH prices are for stacks, so bazaar prices must be too!"

it IS a scam when they're intentionally trying to fool people into thinking they are buying a stack of shihei for 6k.

when you put up something for 99,999,999 your intentions arent to fool others into buying it.

true, the buyer should be more cautious, but it is still a SCAM.

Something to ponder tho:
Who in thier right mind would pay 100m for a red rose?
Who in thier right mind would pay 6k for one shihei?

Ever pay 30k for a stack of wind crystals on the AH instead of 3k?

These people are harmless if you just think before you click.

Using the mean of the word "scam", it probably doesn't qualify.

That said, it does involve a trick of using something that is easilly forgotten for the purposes of exploiting a player.

To me, it's still a scam.

It does exploit players and it is indeed very low to do it. Though if someone buys it it is their own fault though, they need to pay a bit more attention o_o
