You have to be blind and dumb to get a NM drop "stolen" from you.

When Quartermaster is set, a green dot appears by the person's name. If you don't understand that, you shouldn't be camping with someone you don't know. Simple as that. No GM calls are necessary, because it's your own damn fault. No, I don't feel sorry for you, because it's the people that fall for this stuff that make people like Belgarath able to keep playing.

If you need help on a NM camp, ask your LS. If they want to sell and split in order to come, then that's what you may need to do. If your LS doesn't want to help, look at your friend list. If no one on there wants to help, camp it solo. Leaping Lizzy isn't exactly the hardest NM to camp, and neither is Valkurm Emperor.

Also, I have a bone to pick with the people that complain about prices on items like Leaping boots and emperor's hairpin, then when they get the drop they sell them for the exact same price. Do people like that have a brain in their skull? I really have to wonder as I watch leaping boot and hairpin prices soar to over 1 million when I bought them originally for less than 300k. If you people want to lower the prices on items, start being proactive. Sell for less and start lowering the price on gilseller items.

Hmm okay Im gonna say this once and once only. If you READ my post it does not say anywhere in them that I had leeping boots stolen from me! the Boots were stolen my ls mates.
What Belgarath did to me was sending tells with your "mama jokes."
Theophany if you know what Quartermaster is thats awesome. I know what it is however out of the year I have been playing I've yet to encounter a pt where it was actually used. Seriously I wouldnt know wtf it was if it actually happened in game. I'd be like wtf is this greendot. Maybe its done like that in higher lvs or something.

Never done a BCNM with own orb, own loot? Didn't ever bother to check the "Party Loot" setting? There are many ways to find out about Quartermaster, even though no one ever uses it.

Ignorance is never a good excuse. ^^;

Sigh. I have been reading Alla for a long time, and I guess it is finally time I post something, because it is me that Johnma is posting about. (me and Korin I guess)

Yes, Theo ignorance is not an excuse. I have never blamed anyone for the fact that Korin does not have leaping boots today on anyone but myself. Yes, it was stupid to accept an invite. Yes there should be no problem in me (as a 57 blm) nuking the crap out of lizzy. It was for the chance of increasing the drop rate (so the sob story goes)

But, to Johnma's point, what Belgarath did is still wrong. Just because you can con a kid out of his favorite bicycle does not mean that what you did is right.

Back to some previous posts, I was the one who tagged lizzy, and it was Korin that won the lot. Belgarath put on quartermaster sometime between me getting lizzy and the time the lotting was done. So no I did not see the green dot in the 2-3 hours we were pted together.

Of course hindsight is 20/20. What kicks at me more was that I could have ghetto warped his butt in a minute, if I had noticed the green dot.

So the moral of the story is learn from my noob mistake and don't party with him. As for calling Johnma's mother names, he just sank lower (if that is possible) in my eyes.

Don't be so quick to call people stupid or ignorant, it does not hurt to sympathize with someone else's situation. I have learned from it and moved on. The point of the posts is that you do not repeat the mistake I have made.

Actually, in this case, ignorance IS the point. This scum is taking advantage of players who didn't know any better. They were open and friendly, and were like sure ... team up, that's great. Then, they get completely screwed. It's enough to make a new player quit. IDK about you, but I like having lot's of other players to meet and party with. And, I like being able to be friendly with people. I have helped, and been helped by many to get hard to get drops.

As far as BCNM's go, not EVERYBODY does them. And, not everyone does them THAT way. Quatermaster is very RARELY used. Hard to become familiar with something like that.

On top of that, speaking to the people involved personally, I happen to recall that one point of the story was, he didn't put it on quartermaster until AFTER HE LOST THE LOT!

Partying with friends, I have experimented with this, and you CAN do that if you're party leader. In which case, knowing about quartermaster wouldn't make a difference.
