I would think with 100 Bonecraft you would advertise bigger ticket items you can synth. Most high-level crafters I know just say they are 100 in something and they get business.

It's not "noob" bonecrafters, it's a serious drop in the coral piece price ... not sure why you haven't seen that. Kimludia (someone's mule) has been flooding the market with them (dozens of stacks).

Kim has single handedly dropped the coral price from 10-12k per single (110-130k a stack) to 6-8k single (~85k a stack). This is something I'm actually pretty happy about.

I'm not understanding how a "level 100" bonecrafter can complain about that. Also, there's been so many profitable high level synths introduced (JSE/cursed), making a profit shouldn't be an issue.

I believe the coral fragment prices are dropping due to the new fishing system. It's easier for people (and dare I say it, bots) to pull these up.

I know, I hate jumping on the bot bandwagon but they are out there even with the new system. I've seen screens from a post on another thread on the main forum that are very convicing. It makes me sad, but then again, the only way to obtain this bot is to buy it so hopefully that will cut out the number of people using it.

I don't know this person so I don't know if they are just an avid fisherman or what, just wanted to throw that out there.

I'm glad for the price drop. Mermans Rings are ridicuously overpriced for the benefit they provide.

possibly ... I have to admit, I'm curious as to how coral availability has jumped so much. I was guessing there was a new excavating area or maybe the changes in clamming. Or perhaps the mobs in {sea} drop them regularly. But yeah, bot fishing could explain it as well.

Either way Kimludia (someone's mule I'm sure) has figured out the trick and is making a fortune off coral ... just check the price history on the jeuno AH :P

I don't doubt Lunablu is a high level '*****' ... but to me it just seems short-sighted to blame newby crafters when it's more a matter of the coral supply. Then to claim he can't make a profit at this level....

Not sea, I've killed about 100 mobs in there and the only things I get are organs and clusters.

As far as botting, I highly doubt it. There are few places to consistently catch coral without Sneak Fishing. Sneak Fishing is something that,IMO, would be very challenging to replicate on a bot.

Ah, is that caught in SSG? Then yes I don't think it's a botter. Who knows then, maybe they're just a fishing maniac haha :) Is a coral fragment considered an item? If so it wouldn't count against the 200 fish limit and they could catch as much as they wanted.

I hope other prices fall too!

dont sweat it luna just one SH+1 will get you back your money as long as you get the claw and craft it yourself i mean.
buy a claw make a harness, when somebody wants you to synth just trade harness+gil for the claw that way you get the chance to get to keep the HQ if you make it. there is also that chance of failing but yeah.

you could also start fishing for coral fragments as they have no skill requirements

All the prices are dropping. Arrows, Higher End Items. Vassago's Scythe got to 1M, now it's back to 700K. Haubergeon got to almost 4M, now it's nearing 3M again. All the prices across the board are leveling out.
