my character lagged out and when tryin to log back it i got all the way up to the pick charactor screen but when i clicked enter the screen goes black and repeats the music over and over.
if ANYONE know ANYTHING about this has had this happen to them or in anyway can help PLEASE help me out as fast as u can.

reset your ps2 maybe? sounds like a connection issue though.

we did reset it and it STILL doesnt work >.< OMG cant .... live... without .. ff11 NEED plz help we kept it on the black screen and after 5 min it said no response from server . but im on internet and we get to playonline fine and our flist even works OMG pissin me off high lvls on this account plz any help will be great thx

try unpluging your ps2 let it sit 5-10 min than plug it back in and try thats what worked for me

This has happened to me also I just turned off my PS2 for about half an hour and logged back in.
Get a PC.

In seriousness, try what was suggested. It just sounds like your PS2 needs to cool down a bit.
