The way I see it is, ppl are just hating. They hate because they don't have the ability to do this kind of thing. If any one of you had this oppurtunity, which I know that some do, you would take this chance, and I know that some of them have. They make a lot of gil, off of ppl who want to take that chance. Some win, some don't. If you don't like the proposition, then don't do it. They are your seals, Ecks didn't charm you and make you go get your K Seals and make you go into the arena and take your gil from you. He is just throwing the idea out there to someone who might want to do it in order to get something that they can't afford. Don't hate on him cause he as a good idea and wants to capitalize. Ecks is a good guy.

I don't doubt that Eckskalibur is a great person, I commented because his original offer was in no way an attempt to help people or offer them a service. It was simply a gil making method for him and his BLM friends.
Until he changed his criteria, it was not a good deal. Now I believe he is going to help people who otherwise couldn't do the KSNM, although with a large basis on his personal gain.
So is it my business to butt in? Not really, but I'm not going to sit here and watch him take advantage of younger players too.
Anyway, before you label us "Haters" re-read the post and re-think our intentions.
BTW Singular and I have done this before, we did 5 runs total and only lost one, the one with my orb -_-. We were unsuccessful the last time because we had gotten a new RDM and we assumed he would know the strategy we were using, but this strategy was very unorthodox and we lost.
We went as 75MNK/NIN, 71MNK/WAR(Singular), 71WHM/SMN, 71PLD/WAR(me), 75RDM/BLM, and 72BLM/WHM. Me and Singular would duo one scorpion while the 75MNK/WAR would solo one as the 71WHM/SMN tried her best to heal us. The 75RDM/BLM would support the other 2 mages by healing refreshing and sleeping the scorps, and the 72BLM/WHM would mainly focus on sleeping the mobs.
In 5 runs I only saw the Damascene cloth drop once and never saw a claw. It can be done in other ways, but Mana burn might be more efficient.
As far as Eckscalibur, he was doing a couple of runs last night I was doing BCNM40 in the same BC and I think they succeeded, they all seemed like nice people. I dont know what the drops were, because that is none of my business. But we are in no way hating, I have the ability to do it again tonight if I chose to and Singular was willing, all that was stated that Venomous claw is not a guaranteed drop.

The original post was just an idea. I didn't know how fair it seemed to others.. I seen it in a post. And I thought.. wow.. we could use this on Bismarck. So I borrowed their idea. Seeing that so many people detested it. I offered a new idea. One that people are much more accepting to. Which is great by me. I am doing this for a couple reasons.. Help out those that I can.. Earn a little extra cash.. and save the game for me.. Lately I've been so bored.. I've been considering quitting on more than one occasion. As I'm sure you all have felt the same way at a time. The game gets frustrating. Nothing is happening, and you are wasting tons of time. But I am not doing this for just myself.

Last night I did do 12 fights. However, 10 were our own. We only had one other person come along, and that was becuase he /tell'd me a little bit before we were on our way there. And he brought two orbs.
I've had quite a few people come to me. And it seems that it will work out pretty nicely. The average battle takes 2:30 to 3:30 minutes.. So you are in and out that quick. The only long part is running from Exit to entrance heh. We are doing a couple runs on Saturday I believe. So If anyone would be interested in coming along. Feel free to contact me.

I don't know how many of you have spoken to Eck in game but I have, after talking to him and getting alittle bit more of an understanding I think he is offering a good deal.
Now although I can see why some people would still dislike his offer. Since I did my first BCNM40 run last night and I was the one that lost out on the drops and everyone else somewhat cleaned out good..lol (not mad or hating of that, really happy for my teammates cause we did rock the Circle). We did it like most BCNM's the orb user keeps the drops. which was fair (except for me^.^)

I've been watching this thread as it played out and you know I noticed something. Its getting the same response that Chopps did when he offered the same thing with the BCNM40 a few months ago. Is it a gamble? Yes, what BCNM battle isn't? Do you stand to lose a lot? Probably, but so do the people doing the brunt of the work in my opinion. From the looks of things, it sounds like Ecks is willing to work with the orb provider on the stipulations so the only thing I can really say is gamble at your own risk. If I had 30 seals I probably would take a shot at it.
Ive done this 9 times now with all but 1 being successful.
PT makeup was 4 BLM, 1 WHM, 1PLD
BLMs were lvl 67,71,74,74 and it was overkill at that. The WHM and I were just spectators as we were not even needed. 2 casts and it was over. Of course there was a sleepga2 cast inbetween the 2 main casts.
The 1st 5 runs was done with BLMs that I knew. Was cake.
The last 4, I just did /sea all BLM and asked 4 random BLMs to help. I offered an undisclosed donation to them and they all accepted not even knowing what I would donate. So its not that difficult to get people providing its not a friday night or saturday when most are tied up.
I agree that the OP original split idea was kind of a rippoff although he didnt seem to intend it to be that way.

I wont disclose what I sent each BLM(only 1 blm contributed with an orb)but I will say they all appreciated the fact that they were compensated. It doesnt hurt to get to know BLMs throughout the game.
There are a few mercenary BLM groups out there who already offer this service and keep in mind that you dont need 5 75 BLMs to take this easy. Yes its quite efficient and easy but 3 to 4 BLMs will do just fine.

I'd like to take you up on your offer of 5BLM/1randomperson in Operation Desert Swarm. I'm a level 74 RDM. I ask only that if the Venomous Claw drops, I get it. Everything else is yours. Yes, everything. I know the chances are very slim that I'll get a claw. But, I really don't care. I have a surplus of seals, and there's really nothing I can do with them, so I want them gone.
I repeat: Venomous Claw = mine. Everything else, all the loot, all the rare/ex items, whatever else we get is yours. I don't want it, and I really can't be bothered to sort through it. But if there's a chance I can get a scorp harness for cheap, I'm going to jump on it. Contact me ingame if you're interested.

Thank you everyone for posting. And I hope to see most of you that are interested on the battlefield with us. I am attempting a run tomorrow night. Saturday apprx. 12am EST. Those that are interested bring a Lachesis Orb, and we will take it from there. ^^

Last night was a major success. We almost didn't have the opportunity to get it done, because my Black Mages were in sky when I logged on. But I got another friend to bring a friend. And that's the end of that.
It was a long night to say the least. A few deaths on our part, but that was towards the end of the night when it was 7am. heh but no failures. All successes, and as of this moment I am 36/36 on this battle. Last night we had some venemous claws, and some damascene cloths drop. Wasn't a bad night. I am scheduling another one Relatively soon. Just want to know if any are interested. Let me know in game or on the Forum.

Sorry for the bump. If anyone is interested and reads this, kind of a last minute run. But I am trying for a few orbs in tonight EST. Apprx. Midnight EST i will get on and grab everyone together and head to the mines for a night of scorpion killing. If anyone is interested in coming along /tell me and let me know.
