Does it occur absurd to you that some new players think that having equipment slot filled is a way to show decency?

NOT REALLY!

We have become so equipment-obsessed, we think we are better with more equipments under our belt. Yesterday when I was farming in Ghelsba Outpost with my Thief/Ranger, I ran into this player who was Warrior 15. I checked him (I don't do that often, just do it during time when I am bored :p) and I saw him wearing a MND+1 ring... O_o; Warrior 15 with NO sub-job.

Sure, it could be early prudential planning for becoming future White Mage... but woh, Warrior just doesn't need a MND+1 ring. No idea why new players think EVERY slot should have equipments for them not to appear newbish?

The punch line is, leave some spot open and wait until you have the gil to buy necessary ring.

* heck, level 15 you can buy STR+1 already. Second note, it's not like I didn't do the same thing :p But I just hope new players can understand that. ^^ Ciao!

lol yeah, i used to have some armlets, that gave +5 to evasion.

Scentless armlets.. thats what they were.. I thought since i was a BLM i should have good evasion lol.

like u never did that be4 u were a newbie >.> .. when i was a newb, i thought those +elemental stats gives power boost to that element but found out its for a resistance of it >.> ...

one a side note: a BLM casting Freeze at beginning of fight and zoning out to Cape Terrigan and zoning back in...every fight >.>;
Not as funny but just deserves notice because the BLM was a taru ^__^

Gilsellers or not this has got to be 1 of the smartest thinking things i can think of freeze at start then zone out and back so no aggro and the mobs hp is hurt i think i like it XD

Yeah its for Chi Blast. Just funny how silly melee/whm looked for a great stretch of the time only to become useful in end game. I've also seen our melees being told to sub whm to Fafnir for Stoneskin.

lol i'm guilty of the same things. when i first started i even used the copper ring i first fished up. and some other gear.

i never used earrings until the black earrings tho. the +mp earrings where a bit outta my cash limit. back then my best gear was loaned from a from a friend...

but i can safelly say the second time i jumped on warrior it was a whole different story. no more sword and shield war, i wish i had known the beaty of ax and great ax back then...
