Why me? T.TFollow

Ok... for the past 4 or 5 months, I've been hit on and flirted by several gilsellers (the ones I don't ***** at for nearly PK-ing me or stealing enemies I'm farming) that it gets annoying. ><;;;
But, I wonder: Why me? Am I the only one that has this happen? Or are there others?

And, I get comments like:
- "... you are beautiful..." -> galkan gilseller i ran into in Bastok Mines
- "... can i be your boyfriend?..." -> hume gilseller who ran into me in Lower Jeuno
- "... you're pretty... friend can i be one?..." -> a gilseller i ran into in Ordelle's Caves a few months ago

... and so on... >.>;

It's come to a point that one of the gilsellers from Ordelle's Caves a few night's ago, while heading to the ZM5 headstone, sent me a random tell asking to be my friend. And, get this: He gave me his email address!!! ~.~;

Ok... so, seeing how TOO nice a person I am, I gave him my email address, the one I use for junk mail and such, in other words, an email account I never check just to shut him up. Thus, this morning, out of curiousity, I check that account. He actually sent me an email!

Hmm, but I love mysteries, and will do some undercover work to see how the gilseller business works... might be good information for SE. Who knows? ~.^


But, several things that got to me, besides the cam thingy, one of which is that he plays FFXI for 12 hours. And, when he mentioned "6 pm" my time, he knows US time, also. It seems they make him work like it's a sweatshop. But, I will keep his identity a secret and do some more "undercover work". Just imagine if I could reveal the identity and inner workings of nearly every gilseller on this server. o.O

Don't worry... you won't see me out there trying to PK others or steal NMs. I will do that to them instead. >:) I will continue to talk to him, maybe he'll reveal more about his gilseller friends. If I've compiled enough information, I will send it to SE. (And, SE better do something about it!!)

Time to get to work... I feel like Sydney Bristow or Dana Scully. ^^

I will update this post when I learn more about him and his gilseller friends.

I heard rumors about Xishi, but never confirmation, so Xishi is definatley one of them?

I also have gotten a Jerry to tell me he loves me, and asked if I love him.

When i use to mine the Grotto every friggin second of my life Zoe would pay me 2,000gil every night for me to /emote kiss her. Sorta silly but i probably made 20k off him.

I believe most female characters to get hit on. But I do remember this one instance where a gilseller, I assume he was one since he had weird name like aaaaa, where he began to talk to me in pinyin. I responded back in pinyin, bad idea. Soon after I began to get many /tells from others in pinyin. It was crazy. That guy kept sending flowers and such. I had to tell him to stop talking to me. He got the message.
Wish you luck on your investigation. But don't get your hopes up. You'll need some real incriminating evidence.

Hahaha. Yes this has happened to me also. I am a female Tarutaru and I used to log in the outpost for my woodworking. At the time it was always the Redapples who would follow me around and /emote. Also one of those Zooes,Lillygg, Overaa and Mammici. They would always follow me around when logging and send /tells like your so beautiful, you American, you girl right cause me boy etc etc etc. They also wanted me to join their gilseller Linkshell. Of course I said no but now evertime I see Redappledd he always sends me a /tell /emote about kisses and marriage. o.0 very odd.

When I first started playing the game, Tomdd would send me tells on a daily basis. I didn't know what a gilseller was at that point, and I pt'd with the toms and the redapples in shakrami once. That's what started it.

I would get things like

just randomly while I was doing quests. He eventually left me alone.

But one time I went to my moghouse and there was a Beestinger sitting in my delivery box. I suppose he knew that would help a young thf out. I was lv14 in the dunes subjobless with a beestinger. I didn't find out until later what had happened.

interesting... to say the least. Only gilseller contact I've had has been with the Jerrys and Xishi. Yeah, she wasn't a nice person.

I kinda like the Jerrys though. Sucks that they beat me to Mee Degi very often, but I still like them better then a lot of other campers there. Hell, when none of the Gilsellers were on during Chinese new year there it was horrible.

Buddy of mine got the Degi spawn and a pissed off NA attempted to train him. Then of course when I rubbed it in that he not only didn't get the spawn, but also can't even train properly... he attempted to train me as well over in the Quu Domi room... heh.

Not very nice people around when the Jerrys aren't.
